Nebraska has as well...although the Omaha Public School District has cancelled the season (actually "postponed" until fall...lol...yeah...let's kill spring sports at the HS level a second year in a row...)...there has been some games cancelled due to Covid quarantines...but for the most part they are being played with little restrictions other that the stupid ass social distancing and masks in some stadiums...and Grand Island High School is not allowing visiting fans at all...lol...

...and much of college is going on...and NFL starts Thursday...but no B1G. Fucking.Joke.
      Shut the fuck up Donny!

      • Football being planted in 38 states. B10 says it isn’t safe.

I’m now in the “completely political” vote. I’m getting really close to abstention.

          • Talent — if you think that it is bad now, wait until Texas, Texas A&M, LSU, Oklahoma, and Florida are all playing and we aren’t. I can’t wait to hear the canned quotes from our recruits about how much they had watching other schools play on their official visit.

                  • It's becoming increasingly clear there's zero chance of them playing in October. It seems to be a 7-7 split amongst rational schools and giant fucking pussy schools. Apparently, NW, Illinois, M, MSU, Rutgers, Purdue and Maryland are the giant fucking pussy schools. And they can apparently stop the other 7 from playing a somewhat meaningful season.

                    I reiterate. FUCK THIS CONFERENCE.

                    • Let's see. Ohio high schools are playing football. Some Ohio D3 schools are playing football. An Ohio FBS schools is playing football. Both Ohio "professional" teams are playing football. Ohio State is not because it's fate is tied to giant fucking pussy covid alarmist motherfuckers.

Any talk of those other 7 just playing six games?

                        • Oh well. I'll pick a southern team and become a Clemson/ or Alabama fan in 2020. See what it feels like to be a winner for the first time as a sports fan.

                            Not that I've heard.

                            • Thanksgiving start will be the single worst decision in collegiate sports history -- possibly sports history.

                              • If I were setting odds, I'd say there's about a 15% chance of a Big Ten football season beginning in October. And further, I think there's no better than a 50% chance that they go in November after Thanksgiving.

Whitmer and Schlissel are the buggars in this whole thing. If they could be somehow convinced to change their votes, the chances of a season improve dramatically. I think if they change, other schools would follow.

Neither Michigan nor MSU will budge without Whitmer's approval, and I'm thinking Schlissel wants some sort of insulation against lawsuits before he changes his vote. If Michigan has an outbreak affecting a major portion of the team, he doesn't want to be inundated with lawsuits from families. No disrespect to our attorney friends in here, but that could be a potential field day for lawyers if a season starts, and Covid breaks out in a major fashion on either or both teams. If Schlissel "allows the season to begin KNOWING that danger existed...." .. he could be fighting lawsuits for the next decade.

I'm not saying its the right attitude, but that's likely what is going on.
