Saw the D&D movie with my son and some friends today. Pretty good movie. Hits a lot of the same beats as a Marvel Movie but feels fresh. Also very faithful to the lore and fiction of D&D, which was a surprise, since I expected just a generic fantasy movie with “D&D” stamped on it.

I do want to see the D&D flick cuz word of mouth on it has been good.

In the theme of Hollywood wringing every last dime out of a once-successful property, I see that Disney is planning a live-remake of Moana. That movie's not even 10 years old!!!

Even worse than that, there's talk of a Harry Potter tv show covering the exact same material as the movies. Each season will reportedly cover ONE movie. WTF? Who asked for this?
