Couple of good things about Ding winning:
1) The Russians lose. It’s kinda like watching Tennessee play LSU in football. One side has to lose. Glass half full stuff.
2) This means that Magnus will probably come back to face Ding. The Norwegian hates Nepo personally and thinks he plays boring chess. He just had zero interest in facing him again in a title defense. I think it likely he would be the challenger to Ding’s champion (lmao). And he would destroy him.

And honestly, with an increment added, I like Magnus as the best at bullet, blitz, and rapid as well as classical.

Joking aside, Ding won't make it to game 12. Magnus literally could play a5 or the Botez gambit or whatever for the final 3 games (at least).
The only way Magnus gets beat is by Hikaru and that's only if Hikaru can manage to draw 14 classical games, 4 rapids and get black in the 3-minute rapid.
But drawing Magnus in classical is a challenge given his relentelss endgame.
But -- yeah -- against Nepo it was almost like -- meh, I'll take all the draws if you're going to play like that and then go all HARBAUGH!!!! on your ass in rapid, which you can't play for shit -- relatively speaking.
