True Shea has never lost at home and Day has never beat a ranked team on the road (I think) something has to give. Not getting my hopes up Day is hard to hate at this point, Mattison is a trader and a Hoke lover. Not sure why he even stayed, with Harbaugh when he said he didn't want the DC job? F' him!

Look, osu may respect the game and the players and Michigan but it's a different kind of respect. I didn't serve in WWII but I've read extensively about it. Stories of valor and chivalry, especially in the air-war, abound. osu players don't know what those two words mean or how to spell them so talking about respect and actually playing The Game with respekt are two very different things.

......... But the way to beat the Buckeyes is as simple as their defensive structure: win one on one matchups. They're going to be there, and they're going to bet that Michigan, like everybody else they've played, doesn't have the horses.

No more needs to be said. M will put up a fight but the talent differential and how it's deployed will put M in a hole to start, force them to play from behind and mistakes will ensue.

Chase Young won't give Shea time to throw and the Buckeyes back seven is way better than the Hoosiers and everyone else M has played. It could be close but the far superior talent will win out.

It could be one of those games where Michigan surprises them early with a small lead, but then tries to hang on at the end. We've seen a few of those.

I hate beating the same drum, but the older fans and players who don't live local still hate osu more. The kids playing now and the fans living in Michigan really have a bad grudge hate for MSU. I don't see it at all for osu, the press keeps pushing it, but its not working.

I think that is true. Current and recent Michigan players hate MSU more than they hate osu. A lot of that has to do with Dantonio's approach to player conduct both on and off the field. Especially for the football players, on the field. Everyone here has heard Dantonio, what he says to his players, encourages them to do whatever needs to be done to make their opponents quit, react or get injured. Doesn't need to be cataloged again. How they play is a reflection of that.

I don't think from my perspective meyer or now day, does any of that. You intimidate your opponent by playing better than and then defeating him one v. one. Doing that to Michigan players is number one on their list of players they want to do that to......always has been. Bo, Moeller and for a time LC taught their players to look at osu as a team and as individual players as football players to be defeated by being more physical and playing their positions better than the guy in front of them.

Carr in his late years lost that and RR and Hoke didn't understand it and if they did, they didn't apply it. I don't think Harbaugh paid enough attention to it ..... until recently when he has been forced to re-evaluate his approach to The Game facing an 0-4 record that I don't think he likes a whole lot.

1) Fields ability to scramble will hurt us, im sure his ankle is ok. This has been the story for as long as I can remember. Duel threat running QBs vs Michigan, he will break one or two or three for long gains.

2) How is Don Brown going to stop Chase Young not with Mayfield and Runyan? Shea will not have time to pass even though he has looked good the last few games.
