Teams don't try to center the ball for field goals as much anymore. Michigan had time to do that there, but I don't know that it would have helped. Maybe he's usually better from the hashmark. Oh well...

Weird half. M had less than 100 yards of total offense before the fake punt followed by big play to Collins for 51 yards followed by Charbonett walk in TD.
The score differential favoring M difference is because of special teams - KO return for 7, missed Maryland FG from the red zone - and M INT with the Terps in the red zone.
Get Gattis wanting to run but Maryland's D is doing some nice stuff out of showing a 3-3-5 then bringing a LB to LOS attacking the back side and a S up in the box that joins Brookes who is very good. Terps consistently beating M's blockers by both numbers and physicality. Two sky-balls by Patterson to open receivers early, one in the catch zone dropped pass by Eubanks and one catch unnecessarily short of the sticks by Black. Nice throw to Collins for 51 yards but passing game is inconsistent...... and there you have why the O looks bad.
Maryland is battering M's interior defense which we know has been weak. You see it with the pack moving inside run plays for 4+ yards. In the past games this season, Brown has papered that over pretty well. With Maryland's last possession, I think you saw some changes but, I'm guarded in that assessment until I see M's D get a 3 and out on Maryland's offense who will open the 2nd half.
Saw Harbaugh with some good clock management with 30+ seconds on the clock that ended in a missed Moody FG. Sad
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.Comment
