This officiating crew historically watches Michigan like hawks. Their flags fly EV-RY-TIME they see something against Michigan. They cut no slack at all. Its not having an effect on the outcome of the game, but it could in future games where we get this crew. Wouldn't shock me to see them in Ann Arbor vs OSU.
If Lovie Smith isn't fired after this game, some folks in the Illinois Athletic department need to have their heads examined. That being said, I think Lovie would be good as an assistant for several NFL teams.
Just when I think I want to praise Patterson a bit, he reverts to 2019 Patterson. I sure hope the game allows McCaffery/Milton to play some significant minutes.
Jordan Glasgow isn't the most talented player on the field, but he sure gives some of the best effort. Give me a team with 22 guys like that, and we can play ball with anyone.
LOL @ Texas and Oklahoma starting the game with a UC against every player. I think that should be SOP whenever teams 'square off" in warm ups. It would stop that crap in a heartbeat.

Illinois is worse than I thought, M should be up even bigger if they didn't have guys like Ben Mason think he's a bad ass.

Black had enough separation if Patterson throws the ball out in front of him. Instead, he puts it right on the chest of the defender. That's a 3 foot error. Good QBs make that throw accurately more than 75% of the time. That's why I'm calling for McCaffrey.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. Another inaccurate Patterson throw. That's a deep route where the ball placement has to be on boundary shoulder of the receiver. Its not a jump ball but it turned into one because Patterson threw it short and to the filed side. Bad.
