As usual, a good read. High points:
M rushed for a lot of yards .....
i.e, that Haskins and Charbonett looked good against a terrible Illinois rush D means nothing and tells us little about how M will run v. the host of competent defenses M will face going forward.
What Does It All Mean?
The only issue I'd take with Gerdman is that Don Brown put a very good defense on the field v. Iowa and that wasn't meaningless but his take on the offense probably not being able to score 24 against the PSU D is spot on. I wish it were different but its not. The realty of a not very good Shea Patterson in whatever you want to call the square wheeled jalopy that is the Harbaugh/Gattis O is upon every observant and rational M football fan.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.Comment
