We have 3 NFL receivers, and two execellent blocking backs. Call it air-raid if you really want, but the big picture is that we should be passing to set up the run. Keep the TEs/h-backs/FBs/whatevers in to help block if you just so happen to think Patterson needs simpler reads and more protection.

Hayden Fry couldn't have said it better. And we all laughed when he suggested this years ago, but he did it.

Iowa used to be a complete doormat until Fry came along. He made a commitment to toughen them up in the trenches. He even got permission from the Pittsburgh Steelers to mimic their uniforms, so that Iowa would think of themselves as being championship material. Iowa hasn't won any NC's since Fry came to Iowa City, but he and Ferentz have made the Hawkeyes a tough out for decades since then.

        Props to them.

Last time M played at Kinnick. I was there. It was cold and this may have been one of the most frustrating losses of Jim Harbaugh's tenure at M. M was ranked #3 and was undefeated. M made few mistakes but two of them were costly. Speight got hurt and M went on to lose to osu. Iowa played like shit and still won. You cannot think that this won't happen again today. Patterson is going to have to run increasing his injury risk. Ferentz is mindbogglingly good at taking advantage of ONLY Michigan mistakes. Otherwise he gets close to Ron Zook bad making in game decisions.

Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Can't only get a field goal when you start from the opponents 20.

Iowa isn't bringing the pressure from the LB's like everyone else has vs M.
