  • Agree 150% on that AA especially when it comes to businesses and especially food outlets. It's a fucking joke that some bullshit restrictions are being placed on them...but it's pathetic when they do it to themselves. I've seen places around here shut down their dining rooms voluntarily. They reduce their hours and services. They limit their menu. They are killing themselves and for what? They think they are helping stop or even reduce Covid?

Ridiculous. When this is over I hope they all suffer for their idiotic decisions along with the idiot politicians who are more interested in this charade than actually doing what is best for their constituents.

F all the B1G administrators and presidents. F em all.

    • So it appears I jumped the gun. According to the Freep, Michigan has at least 12 positives. That's a legit reason for pausing activities and canceling this week. Especially when you consider people that likely have to quarantine due to close contacts.

      • Yeah, OSU will be missing a lot of players tomorrow because they were in contact. They may have multiple negative tests, but apparently they're still sitting.

12 on the football team, or 12 in the athletic department?

12 on the team. And its "at least" 12.

This whole season was set up to fail, and that's what's happening.

But, I do have to say this about Michigan "ducking" anyone. I don't think that would happen, like what Florida State has done, or what LSU has done. I think Warde Manuel, Harbaugh, et al, are just stubborn enough to send a team filled with 2nd and 3rd stringers to Columbus if that's all that is available. They'd rather get whipped 98-0, than be called "cowards". They are firmly entrenched in this "Michigan honor" crap where being cowardly is not an option. So, I believe that if they believe they can field a team with 11 on offense, 11 on defense, and cover all special teams, they'll be in Columbus. No matter how bad the whipping that awaits them.

Now, will they adhere to "conference rules regarding Covid?" Yes. After all, "Michigan does not break the rules". If according to the pre-season Covid agreement, Michigan cannot field a team, then they will not play. But, they won't artificially add to the numbers or pull any other chicanery to make the situation look worse than it really is, just to avoid a whipping at OSU. Again, if you've followed Michigan football for any length of time at all, you know they won't do that.

Personally, my feeling, and mine alone is, once they got to a point where they could build no byes or make up weeks into the schedule, it was too late. There should have been no season at all.
I blame that on the Big Ten Commissioner, the state Governors, and school Presidents. I don't blame it on the teams.

Rip me a new one over this, but I think the right people should be blamed for this situation, and its not the players and coaches.

              • Season's probably over then. Unless they want to try hard to do the round robin game the B1G championship weekend.

                • I think champions week will be canceled except for the title game.

Yep, I could definitely see that happening. There hasn't been a lot of enthusiasm for that to begin with, so it would be easy to cancel those cross-overs with very little resistance.

OSU may lose out on going to the CCG, but there is no way that the NCAA selection committee is going to leave them out of the playoffs. If there is any real prize in this season, its a playoff berth. OSU will not be left out. The only thing that can stop OSU from getting to the playoffs at this point is if they lose to MSU on Saturday.

Ain't happening. Rocky Lombardi has already had his 14 1/2 minutes.

This isn't 1998. The Nutz roll.

I'd REALLY want to believe that to be true.

                        But I don't.

Sorry, but it's been pretty clear for years- as Jeff pointed out in typical fashion. The whole cheapening of the game day experience, watering down of the schedule (including canceling home and homes with competent opponents) and the false bravado of WE'RE MICHIGAN! were the precursors what we've got on hand. The complete lack of management, discipline, motivation and functionality of this team just proves that Michigan's whole program has become a bunch of CoronaKarens (per Hannibal).

Rumors floating around that Michigan QB Joe Milton in the middle of the Rutgers game was disgruntled telling teammates during the game he was transferring out there and will drop 50 on Jim Harbaugh and Michigan.

                          • Yeah whatever. Dude's got nothing to be disgruntled about. At least not WRT getting a fair shake on the starting job.

                              • He may very well drop 50 on Michigan.

Problem is, Rutgers will give up at least 51.

They aren't exactly a defensive juggernaut.
