  • Harbaugh isn't leaving. 100%.

But just for the fun of unwarranted conjecture .. Fleck isn't leaving Minny. He's signed thru 2027. The buyout would be massive just to get him to row our boat.

Brady is an interesting suggestion, although he'd have to surround himself with people who know how to coach. He's never coached before. He'd probably be a good recruiter. Oh, .. and he'd have to retire from the NFL. ... He's doggone good but coaching Michigan is more than a part time Saturdays job.

Jeff Brohm - why do we want a Big Ten retread? Same goes for Pat Fitzgerald.

I'd suggest Ron Rivera, but I think Jerry Jones has his eye on him. Wouldn't surprise me to find out he's talked to him already.

I doubt Fickell would want the job. Too many ties to OSU, and he doesn't want to lose that game every year.

Its too bad Gary Moeller had to get old.

    • Why are the reasonable posters on this forum talking about Harbaugh to the Panthers? Every year Harbaugh has lost to osu, the NFL rumors pop back up ..... EVERY YEAR. Last year it was the Jets. Did any of those rumors pan out? Nope.

It's bull-shit of the highest order.

We won't hear anything about this from the Fort ....... Harbaugh is in the submarine mode and will be until whatever presser pops up after M accepts a bowl bid. The talk is that M's input is to play in one of the three FL bowls not out west. 247 Sports published their picks a couple hours ago:

Citrus Bowl Projection: Michigan vs. Alabama

Outback Bowl Projection: Wisconsin vs. Tennessee

Gator Bowl Projection: Minnesota vs. Auburn

247 reports that rankings aren't going to be a factor so, I'm not bothering to list the picking order but Minnesota is likely to be the highest ranked BT team after CFP berths are assigned (Wisky or osu) and the loser of that game goes to a NY6 Bowl. Butts in seats will drive selections and the Citrus does get first pick here and there would be a sell-out for M v. UAT. Follow the money.

I'd be psyched for M to play Alabama and I think the team would be too - or Auburn - get back on the horse and ride.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Gator Bowl Projection: Minnesota vs. Auburn
What are they doing with Penn State? They have the same record as Michigan, but hold the tiebreaker with a HTH win. Wouldn't they get slotted ahead of Michigan? And even with a loss to OSU in the CCG, Wisconsin would slip all the way to the Outback?

Does this mean that the Big Ten doesn't get a Rose Bowl berth?

Also, Michigan has played in all of these bowls in the last five years, and I believe they have a "no repeat" clause that covers five years. Meaning, they don't want to be stuck with the same teams, year after year. That's why the other projections I've read show Michigan heading west.

And Minnesota drops all the way to the Gator, in spite of only two losses?

          I guess we'll see.

          • Again from 247 Sports:

            NY6 Bowl Match-Ups

Orange Bowl Projection: Virginia vs. Florida

Rose Bowl Projection: Penn State vs. Oregon

Sugar Bowl Projection: Oklahoma vs. Georgia

Cotton Bowl Projection: Baylor vs. Memphis

Projecting matchup: No. 2 LSU vs. No. 3 Clemson

247Sports intel: Game of the year in college football right? This semifinal out west would have the feel of a national championship game. And you better believe LSU wants the No. 1 seed to avoid playing the defending national champions in a setting they're familiar with on a 28-game winning streak. That's why oddsmakers have already made Dabo Swinney's team the favorite if this matchup comes to fruition. LSU has a major opportunity in the SEC Championship Game to impress, because right now, no one can argue against LSU's resume as the nation's best. CFB PLAYOFF SEMIFINAL (PEACH)

Projected matchup: No. 1 Ohio State vs. No. 4 Utah

247Sports intel: The selection committee will send the Buckeyes to their preferred destination as the No. 1 overall seed and we're expecting that to be Atlanta. That's what makes Saturday's Big Ten and SEC Championship games so important. Should LSU blow out Georgia and Ohio State slips past Wisconsin, we could see a flip-flop. Playoff chair Rob Mullens continues to say Ohio State is the more complete team when compared to the Tigers and nothing that happened last weekend changes that. For now, we're projecting Utah to the final four if the Utes beat Oregon in the Pac-12 final.

            • After Wisconsin loses, Penn State would land the Rose Bowl .

The next Big Ten-affiliated bowl slot would be either an at-large bid to the Orange Bowl, which is contracted to pit the highest-ranked Big Ten or SEC school, or Notre Dame, against the ACC champion (or next-highest ranked team, if the champion qualifies for the playoff). Florida, at No. 9, would it would appear .

Which brings us to the Citrus Bowl, looking to sell tickets and TV ratings - That is the key Harbaugh vs Saban is a no brainer. Wisconsin would have the better record over Michigan , but the game is under no obligation to take the next-best available Big Ten team.

Minnesota, which lost to Wisconsin is a to be lock for the Outback

                • Wow. That sucks for Wisconsin. And Minnesota beat Penn State, but they fall to the Gator?

I thought that either would be better candidates for the Rose than Penn State. And PSU may not have their QB.

Oh well, I'm not the one picking them ...

Bama or Auburn will crush us. I'd rather see Michigan head to the Holiday and tangle with USC. Michigan might actually draw better in Cally than in Florida.

Easy playbook for Bama vs Michigan.

Najee Harris right, .. left ... up the middle.

Just like the OSU game, there would be no advantages in the trenches for Michigan. Bama is dominant in both.

                          • Bama has a decent Oline. The Dline is true freshmen and scrubs due to numerous injuries.
