  • Yet, the offense is still futzing around, looks janky at times and appears to be just OK at home and badly inconsistent on the road.
Someone mentioned earlier that the offense makes nearly every play they run, look like a monumental task, or something like that. I've noticed the same thing. There doesn't seem to be a lot of plays that come easy for them. Everything is like getting a root canal. And here we are going into Game 10, and they still have difficulty finding plays that come easily for them.

    • Here's FPI's win percentages for M's next three games updated yesterday afternoon:

Nov. 16 vs. Michigan State: 81.4 percent

Nov. 23 at Indiana: 75 percent

Nov. 30 vs. Ohio State: 19.2 percent

MSU is on the ropes and will fight but I still think this is about right..... barring any Dantonio trickeration, crazy ass shit happening having anything to do with the clock, monsoons or rugby style punting. Just say'n.

I think the IU % is too high. Games in Bloomington are always an adventure and IU is playing it's best ball in a long, long time. Peyton Ramsey is the man and is still > than Haskins ever was. Heh.

The osu win %? Ehh ....... At face, this will be an easy win for the buckeyes and I refuse to get ahead of myself like I did last season about thinking M can win this one. That shit led to hyper-expectations on my part, and probably a lot of other's, and a real coming to Jesus for all of us when that cluster-fuck ended.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

      • No way Ohio State win's on the 50th anniversary of 1969. My hope right now is that Ohio State somehow beats Penn State and keeps the loss to M close. They could still sneak into the CFP if that happens (and if they win the B10 CG).

        Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

          • Hoosiers have played an awful schedule outside their two losses, the FPI looks about right... Still expect them to play us tough, M will need to actually play well to win...

First is Sparty though and they'll likely play their best game of the season. Still don't see them getting in the end zone more than twice without short fields.

            • As of right now, I'd say Michigan should be the traditional 3 point favorite for being the home team vs MSU. I've seen so many of these games, and very few go as predicted.

Indiana to me, is more of a toss up. They've been close 3 years in a row, and this has trap game written all over it. We don't play well on the road, no matter who the competition is.

I've seen nothing in the meantime to change my mind that the OSU game will be a 'name your score' game for them.

We never stop OSU QB's who can run and pass. Their running game is 2 RB's deep. Their OL is all future NFL players.

Their defense is probably the best in the country. Another Fields/Day for them.

I won't be watching that one. I'll be at Ford Field watching some competitive football at the state finals.

              • In other news today, Harbaugh announced in his weekly presser that Chris Evans will be re-admitted to the school for the Winter semester. That would allow him to get back on the team for Spring practice, and be a factor in the fall for RB.

Good for Chris Evans. Whatever he did, he's paid the penalty, and stayed with his commitment to finish his education, and get back on the team.

That would be quite a threesome. Charbonnet, Evans and Haskins in 2020.

                  • Evans always was always talked about as a potential slot, and is the speed/space guy that the hyped version of Gattis should fully weaponize. But never played in years when Harbaugh had any use for that size/kind of WR. Maybe now. It's hard to imagine he gets carries given the RB stable is full of bigger guys. But it's great for him personally that he owned up to whatever happened and worked his way back in the fold. Happy for him for that.

                    • Putting him in the slot would make some interesting matchups.

DPJ on one side, .. Black on the other, and Evans in the slot. Add in Nico Collins as a 4th receiver and who does the defense focus on?

Put Dylan at QB with the potential to run .... ye gads.

It rips my gut to see the talent that is available on this team, but is so frustratingly under utilized.

                      • Nico Collins must surely be a holy lock to declare early. I'd bet DPJ is off too. Very depressing how talented they are and how little Harbaugh used/uses them.

                        • I am hoping that DPJ stays but I wouldn't blame him for not wasting his time with Harbaugh anymore.

                              • I thought he would be are #1 RB this year, he has explosive speed (in space) and when he hits the edge, but hasn't shown he can brake a tackle to save his life. Now rumors are he will be gone next year with Chris Evans officially back. I wouldn't blame him though if he does transfer.
