In the first of what I am sure will be many such announcements, the first transfer portal announcement was made today for the 2020 season.
Zach Carpenter a OL from Cincinnati, redshirt freshman, will enter the transfer portal. Carpenter was listed behind Vastardis on the depth chart, but has started the last two games and performed well against Penn State.
Tip of the iceberg. We may have a record number of transfer portal exits this year.

That’s why I stopped following recruiting a few years ago. Waste of time to invest in getting to know certain people that end up de-committing or transferring."The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, .. I'd worn them for weeks, and they needed the air"

Just read on a Facebook Michigan site that Michigan's "crossover" opponent might be Iowa. It didn't say where the game would be played. I don't see how that's an equal match up, but whatever. Its likely moot anyway because of Covid. I doubt Michigan's situation will be significantly improved by then."The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, .. If this is true, you can forget about Michigan playing in a crossover game next week. This report says as many as 4 dozen Michigan players either have Covid, or are quarantined by contact tracing.
About 4 paragraphs down.

This is really surprising to me, because Michigan seemed to be doing all the right things to avoid a large breakout. Now, they've had one of the worst in the conference, if these numbers are accurate.

The U, as policy, does not release COVID data under the guise of HIPA so, there's no way of knowing if these numbers are accurate. Given M's record of being behind most of the push-back that emerged over actually playing football, it's more likely that if something is being leaked, it's propaganda.
Actually, M is not alone in despicable COVID posturing. It's everywhere. Governor Desantis in FL is pretty much saying, "what virus," in the face of a problematic police raid of the home of a fired PH employee who allegedly refused to manipulate FL's COVID data then set up her own web site with COVID dashboard to report what she thought was "the truth.". Governor Newsome in CA, OTH, is announcing, without any basis in fact that "family gatherings are the cause of the COVID surge in CA." ...... and then mostly locking the state down.
All we know for sure is that the virus is predictably spreading, more people are getting infected and, not unexpectedly, more people are dying. What lies ahead is purely speculative but if the impact of past pandemics teaches lessons, the most important one is that it will subside.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

M's shrewd cancellation means they don't finish LAST in the B10 East. Instead, Sparty, at 2-5, finishes last, and HARBAUGH!!!!, at 2-4, finishes 6th. Well done.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

Okay folks.
Just when you thought that the Big Ten couldn't get any more STOOPID, ... here is what awaits Michigan in the so-called "crossover" game next weekend.
Michigan's "reward" is to travel to 6-2 Iowa, to get grease-stomped by the Hawkeyes.
So, for anyone who thinks that "Covid saved Michigan football from a butt-whupping in 2020", .. I guess that debunks that theory.
Michigan can expect a similar thrashing at the hands of the Hawkeyes, as they would have gotten in Columbus.
The Big Ten just couldn't resist making Michigan face another humiliating loss to end a season. Lord forbid that Michigan be seeded against a team with a similar record.

Oh, .. and btw ...
MSU will face Maryland.
Sparty, you are loved after all.
