I recall that from way back in the day. But I also recall some pre-Kelley talk that really it was ND or OSU that he wanted.

People keep an eye on twitter UFM even addressed the issue (though asked)

If Harbaugh does not return for the Wolverines, his successor would not be Urban Meyer, the former Ohio State coach told WBNS radio in Columbus on Wednesday.

"No, that's not going to happen,"

The only (good) reason I what to watch the game - Shea is banged up and should really not play, DM is out. I want to see Milton play a half at least, but im positive Michigan will struggle to put the game out of reach, I predict he gets in the last series. (unless Shea gets knocked out)

If Shea can't play, we may even see McNamara. I don't think he's seen action yet this year, and he can play 4 games without burning his red shirt.

JJ McCarthy better come in ready to go.

McCaffrey is still a great prospect. No QB is gonna look good in this mess of an offense.

Oh, I absolutely agree. I think Dylan has a tremendous upside and has shown a lot of potential. I just hope he doesn't throw in the towel with Michigan and go somewhere else.

Most importantly, I hope he gets thru this current concussion protocol with no long term bad effects. I doubt that he will be available for the next few weeks.

I still think Patterson has the skill set needed for a true ZR/RPO offense. I've read comments elsewhere from credible observers that note it's the play design that makes Patterson look bad. The theme has been that there really aren't RPOs when the play gets dissected on film. There are deep routes and flood routes that are PA type concepts. The backfield motion is intended to look RPOish but its not. Its PA out of the gun. The same themes apply to criticism of the OL. Lots of questions about all this.

My mind won't contemplate a scenario in which M struggles with Rutgers.

You did see th D v. Wisconsin, right ? Inconsistent at best. Looked under prepared. If you'd like to, the top diary at mgo diagrams 15 defensive plays. For every 5 plays, there are maybe 2 where M has leverage and contain sufficient to slow the backs. 3 of them, though, show mis-reads on exchanges or LBs missing gap responsibility leaving undefended gaps. Pretty bad overall. The 2-4-5 scheme was ok, except the deployment of it on Coan's QB TD sneak where the B gap was uncovered. All he had to do was step into it. Coan's call was an audible at the line. The rest showed potential but poorly executed player responsibility - a lot of over aggression and taking a player out of the play. Wisconsin really advantaged there play calling by exploting the aggression.

it's hard to explain why DT play is so weak that it demands a scheme change. Is what it is. Brown may go back to a 4-2-5 Nickel v. Rutgers with zone behind it and a 4-3-4 v. Iowa. We'll see but what he came up with v. Wisconsin wasn't effective.

I also watched Rutgers-UMass -- more than I care to admit. And some Rutgers-BC. Rutgers is awful.

Everything you say could be true (and probably is), but it's of no consequence against Rutgers. Next week that analysis will matter.
