  • 35-8, as McKeon catches one of the most meaningless TDs in Michigan football history.

    • McKoen is done. That was an ugly hyperestension.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

      • Now kids are just getting hurt. If Michigan's season hadn't started badly enough, this is the kind of loss that wrecks any chance you have to recover.

        • Michigan's season was already lost before players started getting hurt. They'll beat Rutgers next week, and Illinois, but every other game will be a struggle. With their luck, most things will go against them.

          • That TD was the equivalent of putting a pig on lipstick, .. or lipstick on a pig, .. or whatever the analogy is.

Weak, .. tentative, .. they look like they are scared of Wisconsin. The Badgers are out-toughing Michigan in every phase of the game.

In ancient times, Michigan had tough players, who, .. even when they lost, they put a lot of black and blue marks on the opponent. Opposing coaches used to rave about how hard Michigan hit them, even when they managed to beat them.

Now, .. these kids look like they'd rather be playing Nintendo than playing football.

            Horrible.

            • I'm not convinced they'll beat Rutgers or Illinois at this point.

              • Oh good, Shea and his 2-yard outs are back.

                • Earlier in the week, several Michigan players said they wanted to go into Madison and "make a statement".

Well, statement received. It reads "Insufficient funds"

                    • Don Brown is doing something odd to make up for the defensive line (mostly the tackles imo) being so awful. He's taking a linebacker, bringing him up to the LOS and run blitzing him every play right between the guards... It hasn't worked but it explains why Taylor is getting huge chunks so often.

I wish I could argue with that statement.

Illinois has been a difficult place to play for Michigan over the years.

Rutgers is horrible, but today, so is Michigan.

Indiana on the road, .. tossup.

Michigan could have trouble getting bowl eligible.

                        • Patterson missed Collins who was open on the opposite side trying to fit it in to Bell. This is Patterson.

Too bad McCaffrey may be out on a concussion protocol for Rutgers. This was his chance. We don't know enough about McCaffrey yet but I'm personally done with Shea.

Hate it for McKoen. Pretty sure he is going to be done.

                          • I can't imagine Hinton and Smith would be any worse. You don't want to waste redshirts, of course, but you hope those two are getting something out of this season.

True- but at least he can focus on getting his Michigan degree.

Yep, I drew this up before the game in a post up thread. The history of this is not new or weird. I think I provided the link to the web site called Match-Quarters where this approach was detailed by a guy who had seen Brown talk about it at a coaching clinic in the summer before before the 2018 season. It's a Brown specialty. Relies on solid S play to fill that zone and it isn't there in this game.
