Yep, I drew this up before the game in a post up thread. The history of this is not new or weird. I think I provided the link to the web site called Match-Quarters where this approach was detailed by a guy who had seen Brown talk about it at a coaching clinic in the summer before before the 2018 season. It's a Brown specialty. Relies on solid S play to fill that zone and it isn't there in this game.
To expand on that ..... I had said I liked this defense against Wisconsin because it put Hudson- the guy,a LB type, that steps up - in a position to fire into the backfield to disrupt Taylor or whoever. But he also has to be able to fill to the outside. We've seen this not happening with him leaning in - and I believe he was coached to do this - abandoning his edge responsibility.
