Deace is very good in hindsight, but a horrible homer. Said we would easily win at ND and OSU.
He's the guy who had to get a I love Jimmy (Harbaugh) 'tramp stamp' tattoo last week (ouch) after losing his temper after the ND game saying he would get a tattoo if Michigan won 10 games.
Michigan has a coaching problem yes, and that main problem is Nick Saban and Urban Meyer.

Niffla,
I'm so there with you. Years ago I lived and died with this game. Not so much anymore. I guess it's what you call acceptance. It's like that woman you couldn't see yourself living without. Twenty years later you wonder what you were thinking. When everyone, including so many Buckeyes, were predicting a Michigan win, I didn't see it. After seeing the first 3 plays of the game - a Michigan possession that stalled on a 3rd and 9 - I said it was game over. The atmosphere, the intensity, I'd seen it all before. When OSU took the ball and started isolating Brandon Watson and Devin Gil, I wonder what the final margin of victory would be. I called my dad. We both vented our frustration. I hung up, and cleaned the pine needles off of my roof. Another loss to OSU. Nothing I haven't seen before.I'll let you ban hate speech when you let me define hate speech.

Hannibal,
I agree that the coaches did a shit job Saturday, but I still say there is a talent gap. Like Shea Patterson said,"They had a lot of athletes." Until Michigan pays more money to the players they'll never compete with college football's elite. You have to have that southern win-at-all-cost mentality. Ohio Stare has it; Michigan doesn't. Michigan is still selling tradition and education to kids who just want to go to the NFL. Even great coaches need players. Nick Saban's record at MSU was mediocre. Hell, he failed in MIami. He became a big winner when he went to the SEC. Suddenly, he's the greatest coach of all time. Urban Meyer was successful at Utah, but he wasn't going to win a national championship there. He won them at schools that wanted to win badly, would do whatever it took to do so, and had talent in their backyards.I'll let you ban hate speech when you let me define hate speech.

Yeah, those are pretty good examples, though Auburn did it once because they had the best player on the field - Cam Newton. It was amazing how much improved OSU was on Saturday. Coaching? Or playing up to their potential because it was what was formerly known as The Game? What I saw, though was OSU finding a weakness in coverage and exploiting it without mercy. So, I'm curious about what could have been done.
Michigan could not pressure Haskins with their front 4. Blitzing vacates areas underneath to crossing routes and slants. Our back 7 can't match their receivers' speed. What can you do? Nickel package? Supposedly Brown did unsuccessfully run some zone in the second half. Don Brown's defense is all about pressuring the quarterback. But if you can't get pressure, and a couple of your backfield guys aren't great in coverage they're vulnerable. All you need is one devastating mismatch - Watson/Olave. How do you cover up your weaknesses?I'll let you ban hate speech when you let me define hate speech.
