Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

    • For anyone who ha been buying Talent's assessment of his beloved Buckeyes, here is what I saw today in his backyard via satellite:

      I'm dead I tell ya!

      • Thanks, Rocky. I don't recall that name but, man, he sure sounded like Bo and/or was imbued with his spirit.

I know the Bo card was played after his death right before the 2006 (#1 v. #2)) osu game - the last one Carr coached in c-bus. The teams played with plenty of emotion and intensity. M lost 42-39 in a soul crushing loss. I think Carr was just emotionally overwhelmed by his death that week. Huge, huge deal for him.

Bo's spirit has been called upon again by Thornbladh in this game. Hope it's not a curse and Haskins doesn't get hit OOB on third and long by somebody to provide a first down on a penalty to keep M from getting a last chance winning possession like Sean Crable did to Troy Smith.

        • The old sandbagger himself, Lou Holtz says, " I don't see any way possible that the Ohio State Buckeyes can compete with the Michigan Wolverines tomorrow. They're really banged up going into the contest, and Michigan is about as fine a football team as you'll find in America. Jim Harbaugh has done a tremendous job in Ann Arbor, and I'd be surprised if those kids from Ohio will be able to keep the Wolverines within sight. Heck, I'm not so sure that the game won't be over by halftime. Urban Meyer is really gonna have his hands full trying to put a team on the field that can compete with Michigan,"

          • Rocky, I'm buying it. He's not sandbaggaing. osu has issues.

The thing is that both teams will be super pumped. Big plays will be made on both sides. I've got M in either a slow motion blow out, 3 score win or a closer 3 point win ...... and the later occurs with a lot of luck for osu, lucky bounces for those turds, game changing bad officiating for M and uncharacteristic M turnovers on a short field..... all of which a steel spined team of brothers will overcome.

            Fuck osu.

M is due some karma on this one, people.

            • The 2006 score was 42 - 39, and I still see Shawn Crable's "helmet - to - helmet" hit in my nightmares.

I'll say this about the 2018 Michigan Wolverines: They are truly a Band of Brothers...

                • Chase looks like hes good. I do believe he wasn't feeling well last week from what I have heard and seen.

                  • The word on Chase playing is out there now with reference to the Rivals Insiders web site. Reportedly, the screen shot that is still here in this thread was taken down when it was posted at mgoboard. Also reported as in addition to the Winovich news is that Chris Balas' insider post also mentioned that M will play down one interior defender. It's probably Solomon as I think it was him that went out limping v. IU and he's been dealing with an injury all season. That leaves Mone, Kemp and Dwumfor at the DT positions along with sometime guy, Lawrence Marshall.

I don't think this changes Brown's options much. I suspect he'll go with a 4 man, hands down front but we've seen some whacky stuff, like a 3-1-7, and Brown did try some 3-3-5 v. IU after Winovich departed. How this goes is important as M's interior DL has been just OK at run stopping and has been requiring some beefing up with the addition of a 5th run stopper in the box, That helps Haskin's short game.

                      • It's pouring rain and 40 and my outlook for the game is worse than the weather. But, I only get to do this with my brother roughly another 12 times or so. Ever. So, here I am.

Enjoy your big day, you fucking bastards!
