The most encouraging thing about this game was that Michigan was able to get things back under control after blowing multiple chances in the second quarter and then handing Sparty a touchdown to start the second half. Midway through the third quarter, this was looking like another underwhelming Michigan performance in East Lansing. The defensive penalties were infuriating, but the offense's ability to shake off its mistakes and make a big play when they needed one...well, it's been a while since Michigan could do that against a good opponent.

Alex Hornibrook and Brian Lewerke combined the last two weeks: 12/45, 166 yards, 1 TD, 2 INTs. I thought last week there was no way Michigan would make another QB look as bad as Hornibrook did. If anything, Lewerke looked worse. I'm not sure how much of that was due to the weather, but still, I'll take it.Last edited by JRB; October 20, 2018, 04:13 PM.
