This game reminds me of the 2016 Wisconsin @ M game. Very similar when it comes to elite defenses and blown opportunities by M.

Later in 2016, we found out M had serious offensive issues. Hopefully there is nothing to that with this team. ... M did put up a lot of points vs Wisconsin last week! Come on M.

There's a reason he's playing not to make a mistake and it's pretty clear to me some of that is on the coaching staff. Aside from the technicals, coaches have to imbue their QBs with confidence. Pep doesn't seem to be doing that and instead, taking his comment at face, emphasizing the negative.
