    • What did you think of that call? The announcer thinks Shea shouldn't have thrown the ball on that TD pass. Play to win.

      • Spectacular 2-minute drill.
Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
        Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

It was a terrible decision but an absolutely perfect throw. Is what it is. Just wish he could throw like that from the pocket.

          • No targeting. Good call.

            • Ronnie Bell! Turns out, contra the announcers, we have some decent wide receivers left.

                • I'm rooting for Northwestern and Texas. NW just regained the lead. Texas up 38-24.

                    • LOL. Penalty against MSU negates big option play. Clear call, but Dantonio a poor sport.

                        • At the risk of being that guy that is an M fan and complains even when M is winning I'm still skeptical about specific aspects of play calling. First it's man-ball and it's JH's MO and has been forever. It works but only when you're mixing in plays that punish a D for doing things like walking Ss up. That has to happen way more often than JH seems to be content with. If the D is giving it to you, take it. Instead, JH will make that call 2 out of 8 times when its available 7/8.

He does like the pounding that his approach delivers on an defense (win with integrity and cruelty). I get that and it pays off in the 4th quarter...... sometimes. But when it's a close game against a good opponent it seems to me the 2 out of 8 thing gives up opportunities to move the chains consistently, efficiently and score. It is clear that M has some plays to pull out of the hat so, ok. But fundamentally the offense relies too much on the first down run and when it fails, your offense becomes predictable and the likelihood of getting a first down decreases. Go agasint your own tendencies more often to keep defenses guessing.

BTW, Maryland is not good on either side of the ball.

Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Neither of those teams are very good. Oklahoma should have lost at home to Army.

Texas and Oklahoma are top 10 teams. Maryland is the only team to beat Texas.
