Frustrating mistakes and penalties by the D but held WMU to 97 yards and a shut out. Hard to complain but mistakes.

This is a power offense with a change-up to pass. 27 plays 16 rush, 11 pass. I'm not seeing RPO or Option but probably missing them. Looked mostly PA on the passes. Belly plays are there, direct hand-off - pretty simple/nothing fancy. No need when your O is simply over-powering WMU's front no matter how many guys they throw in the box. That is impressive but shows WMU LBs and safeties being not good. However, it also shows the OL knows how to block the run plays and is executing. That's progress. On pass-pro, JBB got beat and so did Runyan but they held up when it counted.
Harbaugh is incorporating roll-outs for Patterson. Still a bit perplexed why Patterson isn't stepping up. It appears to be a better pocket. Wonder how this gets played by Michigan in the second half? Wouldn't burn Mayfield's RS. Hudson? I'd give him a try. Steuber and Spinalis should get some snaps in the 4th.
