I think where osu holds a decided edge is their DL, Bosa out or not, which is going to create a lot of chaos that the PSU offense is going to have to deal with. The sort passing game - quick throws to neutralize aggressive defense, which McSorely is pretty good at, although we see him mostly as an astonishingly accurate deep ball thrower, is something James Franklin out to be using .... a lot. It will simply give rise to the mostly 50/50 view on him these days that he's an idiot if he doesn't. I will be ready to pounce if he is an idiot becasue I'm among that 50 that thinks he is.
So, the slot for osu becomes important. I think talent has mentioned it as an osu strong point. If osu starts out with a lot of pressure, and they will test PSU to see how they handle it, frigging punish that, right away by getting speedy/catchy types, including osu's RBs and TEs, into the space vacated by blitzballing osu LBs and Ss for big plays. This is a big game. Don't save anything for MSU or M.
