The loins will be lucky to get a high second and some cast-offs. Loins fans have statford way over-rated.
The Panthers don’t even have the #4 overall. The last time that I checked they had #8.

I think Stafford will go to Indy for their 1st and a 3rd rounder
    F#*K OHIO!!!

      I don't think the loins will get a 1st and 3rd. Maybe 2nd and 3rd.

      • There’s too much interest and taking a 2nd for Stafford is a waste of time. They’ll get a 1st for him for sure unless we take some kind of talent in return

        • Even then I don’t see it being worth the Lions time. Get a 1st for him and move on

            • Carson Palmer gets a first and a second. It would be hard to look at the two prior to the point of trade and think Palmer was better in any way.

Detroit only gets less if there is a complete lack of interest, They themselves don't value him as a franchise QB or they suck at negotiating and are stupid.

I think only one of those things is potentially true. Don't know enough about the new GM yet to know if they are apt to getting fleeced.

I’m less inclined to think they’d get fleeced with John Dorsey on board. It’s tough to say exactly what the Lions will get, but it should only take 1-2 teams being legitimately interested to get a good return.

                  • Was Stafford smart enough to get a "no trade" clause?

We remember things like Hershell Walker because it was an example of the RARE time that the team getting the prospects worked in their favor.
I gotta agree here, I mean, look at the Roy Williams trade

                      • Don't think he has one. They are rare in the NFL I was surprised Watson does perhaps they will become a thing.

You'd think any trade with the rams would include Goff. They don't even have a first rounder. It would cripple the Lions in FA next year as that'll be another 11mil above the 14 they'd save for Stafford. He would be very affordable the last 3 years of his deal though and would take you out of QB desperation mode. AKA you could amass talent over the next 3 years and grab a QB when the pick matches value.

Pros and cons for sure to such a deal. It would just about guarantee anyone who can be cut will be and they'd probably re-sign Golladay and not much else.

Losing is the loins way. I doubt that will change in my lifetime
