Interesting article, ultimately he has to get it together, that fumble was a result of him pressing. Throw it away and live to fight another down. Unfortunately the team's success rides on him being really good but you can't turn the ball over and you have to take what the defense gives you. Its hard to say don't press when you realistically need to score 30 points to win, but its like a baseball hitter trying to hit the 450 homer and whiffing when just trying to make solid contact works much better.Comment

That play was midway through the 2nd Qtr in a 1 score game deep in your own territory - that was just pure bonehead at any level of football there - let along getting paid to play.Comment

Personally if I'm a coordinator and I have this type of personnel, I'm trying to find as many easy passes early in the game to establishing a rhythm for the passer. I'd much rather establish that than establishing the run. Quick hitting slants, little bubble screens. My aim would be to drive the field with a lot of short passes early in the game, that opens up the running game and the long developing passing plays.Comment

Its true has has a strangely high QB rating on play action. I'd like to know why, maybe the defenders are biting a lot on it but that seems like something no defender should bite on. It could be the routes they are running are more effective on those plays. That is something you need some film work to see.Comment
