Obviously Rodgers is better, no one is disputing that. That is why Green Bay wins 10 or 11 games with a 6 win team and the Lions win 9 with a 6 win team.

Best thing was Karma the following week when they got screwed @GB.

Now, if the question is, "Can Stafford carry this piece of shit franchise surrounded with piece of shit coaches and pieces of shit for talent to a Super Bowl?" then the answer is probably no. The Lions have to get better as a team, and at pretty much every level.

I know you REALLY REALLY REALLY want the NFL to boil down to QBs playing one-on-one, but it's simply not true in any way. Stop trying to advance that shit take. It has no basis in reality.

Manning won the 2011 SB with the 25th ranked defense, and the 2007 SB with the 17th ranked defense. They won the 2011 SB because starting on thier own 12 yard line, he completed passes for 38, 16 and 14 yards.........he didn't fumble the ball away. His running back was Amhad Bradshaw (9 years in the NFL, 4900 yards, 650 in 2011), his fullback Henry Hynoski, (4 years, 193 yards 1 TD), Primary receiver ( seven years 5000 yards), 2nd receiver was Victor Cruz. Yeah, a complete team.
Dude, if your QB can't make plays to win big games for you...........Last edited by dwt1; July 4, 2017, 01:18 PM.

The Franchise QBs: Final all-time rankings for all 32 teams
Detroit Lions: Is it possible the greatest signal-caller in the Lions' 87-year history is the one currently under center? Final rankingsNFL Nation ranking:
1. Matthew Stafford
2. Bobby Layne
3. Greg Landry
4. Scott Mitchell
5. Gary Danielson
Matthew Stafford and Bobby Layne - are strong quarterbacks. The rest? Meh. Statistically, both Greg Landry and Gary Danielson make sense, yet both were under-.500 in their careers as Lions starting quarterbacks. Bill Munson was barely more than .500 (24-21-3) and the biggest question on this list. A case could be made for Scott Mitchell, the leading passer in two playoff seasons for Detroit - as many as Landry, Munson and Danielson combined. Mitchell is third in Lions history in passing yards (12,647) and fourth in touchdown passes (79). All this really shows, though, is how poor quarterbacking in Detroit has been for years. -- Michael Rothstein
Fan ranking:
1. Matthew Stafford...Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.
