Aaron Rodgers, and Matthew Stafford. Like I said about 30 posts ago. Those two guys are good enough to carry bad teams to the playoffs. Obviously Rodgers is better, no one is disputing that. That is why Green Bay wins 10 or 11 games with a 6 win team and the Lions win 9 with a 6 win team.

The goal is to win playoff games................

DWT - The 2014 loss @Dallas was because of a very bad officiating call. PI against Pettigrew was BLATANT and flag thrown, should have been a 1st down, but Jerry got some home cookin from the refs in that game. Best thing was Karma the following week when they got screwed @GB.

Excuses, why? You point to one play as the reasons the Lions lost. The fact that Detroit had the ball at the end of the game with a chance to win it and Stafford fumbled the fucking ball away - of course that had nothing to do with the loss.......no it had to be a bad call.......just had to be.

Why? Because he's had largely complete teams with talented players at every level.

Manning won the 2011 SB with the 25th ranked defense, and the 2007 SB with the 17th ranked defense. They won the 2011 SB because starting on thier own 12 yard line, he completed passes for 38, 16 and 14 yards.........he didn't fumble the ball away. His running back was Amhad Bradshaw (9 years in the NFL, 4900 yards, 650 in 2011), his fullback Henry Hynoski, (4 years, 193 yards 1 TD), Primary receiver ( seven years 5000 yards), 2nd receiver was Victor Cruz. Yeah, a complete team.

The Giants were 22-1 in those two SB seasons when their defense held the opposition to 20 or less. Just sayin......

That has to include the playoffs, they only won 19 games those two seasons.

Detroit was 6-3 last year when the defense held the opposition to 20 or less.

You say that and yes its true that within the Franchise, Stafford doesn't have a whole lot of competition. But also keep in mind that the guy he beat out for the top spot is a Hall of Fame QB.
