Well, they're screwed because they don't have much of an inside presence to create pressure, and their edge rushers are either ineffective or still not quite back to their regular speed.

It didn't have to be Suh specifically, but they needed someone more than an aging Ngata as a panic move.

There's a lot of truth that Stafford has some blame over the years for missed opportunities but you have to also look at the team as a whole. Our OL has been a complete mess, we've lacked any kind of a run game and our front office / coaches / coordinators have been lacking.

Let me ask you this. Truthfully if you plugged Stafford in the Dallas situation right now as their starter with that OL and running game do you think he'd be a winner there?

Wow, I mean I called it but man. I didn't really foresee them waiting till the cusp of the game that decides the division before coming out. I figured after the cowboys game surely, surely after Giants game. But while I am not a huge fan of our chances. You would think that after the offseason and the first for games. They would wait till after this possible crow eating, foot in mouth game to start squaking.

If they come with the kind of intensity that they had in the first half against the Cowboys, they can win. I think maybe the Cowboys were sleepwalking a little bit, once they woke up it was over because the Lions had nothing more to give after the half. But they were working the Cowboys defensive line in the first half.

The Packers aren't nearly as good.
