Yep. Instead of 'not good' the argument is now 'not HOF-worthy'.

I think people need to learn that there are far more QB's in the NFL capable of winning a superbowl than the amount that ever will. Goff has a bigger window than Stafford did as far as room to find someone better but I don't think it's as big as some here think. This will be an "if it lines up" replacement scenario. Not one you chase, at least not until your foundational pieces are in place.

Glad I was wrong.
But he was never the main problem. The idea that you plug in another QB and the Lions start contending was palpably insane.
The whole “QB wins”/“HE” can’t beat .500 teams, like he’s a one man roster is also insane.

Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

That's why in all three of those games I knew he had that. THEIR (opponents) bad if they weren't terrified to give him control of the game at the end. WTF had they been watching?Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

In my mind the closest comparison to Stafford was always a guy like Marino. Miami always tried to be able to run the ball but could never do it and they had to rely on his arm.
The mystical it quality argument was always strange because he had so many comebacks, that is making a ton of plays.

Most people like to look back though. It's safe and you don't have to put your credibility on the line. Understandable with the stuff we've had to endure over the last 60 years.
We're at a critical point (already) for the Holmes/Campbell era. C'mon boys, bring it home!Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.
