I'm never one to say anyone is a lock to win a championship, mostly because even with the best of teams there's a degree of luck involved. Even if you're Tom Brady, you don't get seven rings without some weird shit happening, like for example, an obscure rule being invoked on a snowy day in Foxboro.
What I am confident in saying is that if it comes together, the Rams are a better team than they were last year. They should make a deep playoff run, presuming the team on paper matches the team we see on the field.
what makes them better? Who have they signed besides trading for Stafford. Maybe Stafford gives the upside that Goff does, or maybe he costs them a game Goff wouldn't have due to untimely interception or sack. Who are they losing in free agency? Will their O-Line be healthier and better or will they take a downturn in performance to do aging? They aren't better yet. They are 26M over the cap and trading Goff didn't really help that since they'll eat a bunch of dead money.
They have some key FA's in Floyd, Reynolds, Everett. They aren't 'better' yet even with Stafford.

Quit making sense...... that is not allowed.
The only logical explanation is:
I'm about to die and this is my Jacob's Ladder
You see, that’s what’s wrong with the world these days. Wall to wall lazy bastards. Could you please use his name. Tuanigamanuolepola ...... I mean is it too much to ask?
Actually, it probably is at the end of the day for all intensive porpoises if I’m honest to be fair.
"...when Hibernian won the Scottish Cup final and that celebration, Sunshine on Leith? I don’t think there’s a better football celebration ever in the game.”

Matthew Stafford is technically still a Lion for another month, as the trade that will send him to the Rams won’t be official until the start of the new league year in March.
But when Stafford asked Detroit to trade him, he reportedly was willing to go anywhere but New England. Stafford didn’t confirm that report in an interview with Mitch Albom of the Detroit Free Press. But part of the speculation for why he wouldn’t want to join the Patriots was the presence of his former head coach, Matt Patricia.
Since the Lions fired him in November, Patricia has re-joined New England to assist the coaching staff in a variety of roles. But when addressing the coach, Stafford told Albom speculation regarding his partnership with Patricia was overblown.
“He and I had a good relationship, no matter what anybody wants to say,” Stafford said. “I could go into his office and talk to him, he could get me on the phone whenever he needed to. I think we both grew in that relationship. I have a lot of respect for him and who he is, as a football coach and an unbelievable mind.”
Regardless, Stafford is headed to Los Angeles where he’s expected to help make the Rams an immediate Super Bowl contender.
Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.
Liar liar pants on fire. No one liked that piece of sh!t.
(I could have used POS but I wanted to really drive the point home that the sad sack of bearded sh!t wasn’t meant to be point of sale or some other acronym)
F#*K OHIO!!!
You're not only an amazingly beautiful man, but you're the greatest football mind to ever exist. <-- Jeffy Shittypants actually posted this. I knew he was in love with me.
One thing that pretty much everyone agrees Stafford was "good" at was mouth noises. I can't think of one time he was even subtly insulting to a teammate, coach, or ownership to the press, and there's no reason to think that would change now.
It may just be all coincidence... but I think it's extremely telling that Patricia was hired in New England, and then Stafford declared he had no interest in going to New England. Stafford wanted nothing to do with any organization that thought Patricia was an asset.
