Makes sense to me. Carolina has weapons and a defense ... actually makes great sense

But for #8? They’re still in a bit of a rebuild to me.

That would end the second they acquired Stafford. Might be a bit steep straight up tho yeah

              • Sure hope Brandt is on to something there.
I have questions about the Panthers OLine. Outside of that, like what they are doing with Matt Rhule. Excellent skills players with CMac, Robby Anderson, DJ Moore, and Curtis Samuel.
Young defense with promising pieces (Brian Burns, Derrick Brown, Yetur-Gross Matos, Jeremy Chinn...)

Panthers could make the playoffs with that team + Stafford in 2021.

                • They could but that's a tough division. Bucs and Saints would probably be favored again even if both Brees and Brady retire and I Don't think Brady is going to. Both Saints and Panthers throwing their name in the hat could make things interesting though. They are lucky this seems to be an opportune time to be trading a QB. Imagine if Brady did retire. Would have to assume the bucs are then interested too.

                  • Brady won't retire IMHO. Rogers possibly being on the move might complicate things a bit. One last way for him to fuck the Lions.

Carolina had a pretty great first 2 days of the 2020 draft ... guess YGM still to be determined

Just because QB is the most important individual position doesn't mean you can win with a great one and a bad team.

I don’t discount what you’re saying but if this kid is being touted as the next superstar I wouldn’t care. Can you imagine a crappy team offering 3 first rounders for the rights to draft Peyton Manning? I’m pretty sure that team would have never had shoppers remorse over that transaction

With that said it won’t matter because this is one of those picks that Jax wouldn’t trade away for 10 1st rounders. I sure as shit wouldn’t

Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

                              • Rappoport reporting that Stafford would’ve stayed if it had been Bevell.

                                Interesting.

Probably best for both parties to move on now as the Lions are a long way from being good.

Patricia and Quin really were cancers on an already sick organization.
