You're are 100% correct, it is a crap shoot. If I was the GM of the Detroit Lions? I'd keep Mediocre Matty, he makes the team money - and that is the job of the GM.
Now, if my job was to build a winner, I wouldn't stay pat with a QB that is known not to win big games. Who would I replace him with, I don't have the foggiest idea, but if you don't take a chance on somebody different. Nothing will change. 18 years ago, NE took a shot on a 6th round draft pick to replace Drew Bledsoe. That was clearly a shot in the dark, but it paid off. Who's going to be that next Brady? Nobody knows, but he's out there.
Brady is an extreme example of what a great QB can do. Every dynasty sends several players to the Hall of Fame, no dynasty has lasted as long as NE's. Besides Brady, who from NE will be going to the Hall of Fame?Last edited by dwt1; October 22, 2018, 01:15 PM.

I like Stafford and what he brings to this team for the next several years. With that said I think Quinn needs to be looking at an heir apparent sooner rather than later and it should be in the higher rounds. 2nd, 3rd or 4th. Find a gem that slips and let him sit back and learn from Stafford for several years. Actually develop someone like BB did in NE with Jimmy Garoppolo.
I think GB made a helluva move in trading for DeShone Kizer. We need to get a guy like that and just sit him and let him learn the game while Stafford is balling. I don't know if Kizer will ever be anything but they're at least taking that approach.F#*K OHIO!!!
You're not only an amazingly beautiful man, but you're the greatest football mind to ever exist. <-- Jeffy Shittypants actually posted this. I knew he was in love with me.

and your take on Brady is retarded. Brady was forced into action because Bledsoe got hurt. He played well and they stuck with him.
Randy Moss
Willie McGinest
Junior Seau
and in the future ...
