  • Stafford is beating Brady badly.

    • Yeah. Maybe the Lions could get Brady as an insurance backup... but man, Tepid Tommy just can't be counted on to make the plays to win games anymore. The Patriots should cut him and play somebody else.

      • Agreed. Brady didn't make a single player around him better. He didn't make the plays to win. He had a pourous run D. They should try that Kaaya guy.

But who? Who would that someone be?

It could be the routes they are running are more effective on those plays. That is something you need some film work to see.
Isn't there a certain skill to the extent of deception at the handoff?

There are a lot of QBs who can throw for more than 133 yards.

                  • Pretty impressed that in a 1 on 1 throwing contest Matt Stafford proved he was a better QB than Tom Brady. Matt Stafford even scored more than double what Brady did.

Yes there is, Steve DeBerg and Peyton Manning are the best ones that come to mind. Favre was really good at selling it. It is much easier when you are under center to sell a fake. When you are good it stands out and generally you are running plays that accentuates it. You don't really see that with Stafford, that's why it is surprising.

                            • When Stafford has protection he is a completely different QB. When he is under immediate pressure he makes poor choices.

                              • Now what is the winning % when they get a 100 yd runner? The He man club is gonna run for the hills from that stat!

But everyone got to see it for themselves. As a defender, it just makes you just that much more cautious. Because when someone just churns out yards, and firsts, and time is just ticking away, and you're getting tired and frustrated, you just aren't as focused on the pass. It's like a slow death.
Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.
