  • So I see possibly a scenario playing out where when the Brady's, Rodgers, and Brees's retire the NFL may have to adopt to a college type game because as said, the talent for pro style QB's just isn't there.

Now there will always be 1 or 2 that come on the scene, like Wilson, and possibly Prescott, but that may be it. Oh, I forgot Carr in Oakland.

But then again it only takes a couple of fluke years to produce 2 or 3 great QB's as in the past.

Maybe the NFL can bring back the hike it to the big dude in the backfield and see how far he can get game. I would like that. Also take the game back outside in the mud and snow.

Maybe I'll start learning about and watching Rugby matches.

How about the dozens and dozens of people paid millions to judge player performance and talk about it on TV stating that Stafford was in the MVP hunt for 13-14 weeks?

Those first 14 mean nothing? Those last 3 the player went from MVP candidate to player most needed to be replaced?

        • MVP hunt?

I lol at the complete ridiculousness of the thought last year and still find it utterly laughable when suggested by anyone.

You cannot make a QB that cannot beat winning teams, the league MVP.

I understand how perplexing people can apparently be Top.

They forget the Mike McMahon era.

Or, I think they just want a singular focus point to blame for (not failure) lack of ultimate success. Those of us who get it, understand it is a team game, and Detroit has not had a complete, or balanced, or whatever damn word is popular right now to describe the.... team in the last decade. And that has been the problem. It is not a piece in the puzzle, it's that the damn box has pieces from two or three puzzles in it, stupid! Maybe we find out tommorow night if we have the correct person boxing the puzzles.

It is easier to have a place to point the blame than to think about things. Right?

Not to mention roughly two-thirds of the pieces have been missing regardless.

Maybe, but there will always be a few that step up. Dak, could be one of those?

Those dozens and dozens of people paid millions to judge player performance and talk about it on TV are paid to make the NFL billions. Their job is to keep you, the fan, interested in the game and watching it. You do understand that?

Did any of those TV millionaires tell you that Stafford would lose the last 5 games he played last year because they would all be against winning teams?

ah, there it is - excuses. Detroit can never put together the complete team but New England can turn over almost it's entire roster every two to three years and keep on winning.

You singularly focus on your excuses, but to do so you have to ignore the Lions within the past decade has had one of the most dominant defenses in the league (still couldn't beat winning teams), one of the best receiving corps in the league (still couldn't beat winning teams).

Dude, not all pics of the puzzle, are equal. Put Joey fucking Harrington on any Super Bowl winning team, do you believe they will still win, will they even make the playoffs. Now take any other position, hell take two or three position on that team and replace that person with the worst player you can think of, they probably still win the Super Bowl.
