  • They held Steph in check but some of the Warrior scrubs hit their shots. Holland kept them in the game until Cade heated up. But tonight's game was indicative of a bad pattern this season. A bad first half followed by a better second half to close the gap. They have won a lot doing this by using tough defense but GS even in this mediocre state still runs an offense that isn't really like anyone else. Terrible rotations on too many possessions. That offense was enough to hold off the Pistons in the 4th.

    • I missed the game but the Pistons win another one.

      • Tim Hardaway Jr. was killing it last night and Cade got another triple-double. Toronto hung close for a big chunk of the game but, unlike the last couple of years, the Pistons are closing out games in the 4th.

Tomorrow night will be a lot tougher, at the Knicks, but they have beaten them once this year, breaking something like a 19-game losing streak against the Knicks. We'll see if we can start our own streak!

        • Cade Cunningham just made the Knicks look silly in the second half. He had 36 in the 125-119 win at MSG.

I wished that we still controlled the first round pick that we traded to the Knicks a few years ago -- I forgot what team has the rights to the pick, but our new General Manager has more on the ball so far than the idiot who shall not be named.

            • I'd rather have Isiah Stewart than the 1st round pick. Don't worry about the pick, the Pistons just clowned the Knicks at MSG.

You're right, but I want to see what our GM can do with some draft capital.

                • Stewart is their best post defender and they have other picks to trade. The chances of drafting a center that is as good as Stewart in the middle of this year's first round is not likely. They have enough young players.

                  • Pistons lose one against Indiana. There was a lot of “talking” at the end of the game. I wonder if that would carry over to next time.

                    • Those two teams do not like each other. Tough game, but Indiana is rounding back into form and at this point is better than the Pistons. Big game tomorrow at 4 PM against the Suns.

I'm not sure how trues this is, but it would be funny if it was

                      • Wouldnt it be nice to see Devin Booker in a Pistons uni someday!

                        • The Pistons are at a point where a guy like Booker might actually be interested.

                          • Realistically, they don't have enough assets to throw at the Suns to get Booker and not deplete every asset until last 2030. The tragedy of the Troy Weaver regime is they pretty much tanked for 4 seasons and collected no extra draft picks. Some of that was because he didn't have a big star to cash in with, but a lot of it was his insistence on trying to rehabilitate failed lottery big men.

Booker would be a great addition though. He or Durant are possibly available because the Suns are capped out and have no draft picks. Ultimately the Pistons best bet is not doing much and letting these young players grow. The way the new CBA is structured, that is the way. The Pistons may a chance at Butler because they are one of the few teams that could legitimately trade for him, but the price Miami would want is more than they should be willing to part with

                            • I could see adding a solid vet without giving our core young plyers to help formulate these young guys.
                              GO LIONS "24" !!

                              • They need a backup point guard in the worst way. At the beginning of the year they were looking to take on bad contracts to get draft picks in return but after this last stretch of wins they may have changed their philosophy. At least that's what Brian Windhorst is saying. The vets they acquired in the off-season (Beasley, THJ, Harris) are the most likely trade pieces but they have helped Cade the most of his season. It's a weird spot to be in an buyers market
