  • To me, there is no doubt whatsoever that Ivey threw himself into Fox to make contact. There was no particular reason for him to jump and lean to his left on that shot. Now, what other people are correct about is that Fox had already made contact by that point on his close out, and so highlighting that contact was a savvy move on Ivey's part.

I still don't like it as a general practice, but with how badly refs can botch calls, I guess you gotta do what you gotta do.

    • The Pistons won again tonight but may have lost Jaden Ivey for a while. Cole Anthony crashed into Ivey's lower left leg while both were going for a loose ball. It didn't look good. Not Hutch-bad, but he did leave on a stretcher.

        • It's a broken fibula for Ivey. That's going to be a long term injury if not season ending.

          • The injury bug is transferring to other teams in the Detroit area.

We can't have nice things around here, it seems.

              • What is up with all the broken legs?

Things to look for, where is the break? Is it clean and does he have ligament damage in the ankle. If there is some ligament damage where the tibia and fibula are too far apart he might need surgery to plate that. If it is just a clean break, sometimes it is 8 weeks of sitting in a chair with no weight bearing on the leg. Then you have to rehab it

                • He had surgery.

Can they contact Markelle Fulz? They needed a backup point guard before this.
Pistons guard Jaden Ivey, who was stretchered off after colliding with Orlando's Cole Anthony, has had surgery for a broken fibula in his left leg.

                  • I went to the game. It was a pretty sloppy game. I don’t usually criticize officiating but it seemed pretty bad tonight.

                    • It's been a constant theme with the Pistons and refs. Cade gets the worst whistle in sports and the Pistons in general get it bad. Tonight was the prime example, Bickerstaff made it an issue after the game and will probably get a fine. At least he was fighting for the team, last year Williams wouldn't. Cade has to learn to flop or embellish the contact I think.

16-18, not too bad. They look like they will be fighting for the 10th seed and hopefully sky past my optimistic 30 win prediction.

One thing to look for, the Heat suspended Jimmy Butler for 7 games and will look to be trading him. If any of the contenders want to get him they will need a third team for the salary cap and the Pistons are the only two teams with real space to help facilitate a deal.
