2012 Detroit Lions Draft: 1) Cordy Glenn G , 2) Brandon Taylor S, 3) Sean Spence olb, 4) Joe Adams WR/KR, 5) Matt McCants OT, 7a) B.J. Coleman QB 7b) Kewshan Martin WR
Grant is ok but he doesn’t move the needle for me. If they sign him I wouldn’t have a problem with it but he’s a waste of money at the current stage. I’d much rather use the cap space for trade chips since we’re one of the few teams with available money.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a sport so capped out that trades are so difficult because they have to money in money out things

I'm not sure what the Pistons direction is going to be, so it's hard to say about Brown or Grant. Both players are useful players that would be a big upgrade, but I haven't a clue on what the Pistons want to be under Williams.
If I were GM and had to make a big splash, I would offer a huge contract to Austin Reaves to see if the Lakers match it. The big problem is I think a few teams are considering that. Outside of that, I would keep the cap space, pick someone at 5 and wait for some team to try to unload a good player to get under second apron of the new CBA. Cap space is highly overrated, but it's useful right now because of the new rules. But the player or players you might take on have to have more upside than Alec Burks and Nerlens Noel.
Reaves dominated in that Nuggets series and at the end of the Warriors series. Curious what contract offer he gets… maybe the Rockets at $100M+ 🤔. Make the Lakers panic.
$100M is crazy to think about, but that’s where the NBA is going. Never forget how Timofey Mozgov signed a ridiculous 4 years, $64M deal in 2019…
“I had a situation, personally, in my family that needed attention. I talked to my wife today about whether or not we should talk about that publicly, but that was a huge part of my decision-making. The patience that Troy and Mr. Gores (Pistons owner Tom Gores) had with me as we navigated that told me a lot," said Williams on Tuesday.
Williams was given access to a health and welfare fund to help with medical expenses not covered by insurance.
Williams also has access to a private jet to travel to Phoenix, where his wife's doctor resides.
Zion Williamson's Trade Value Not 'Sky High Right Now'
JUN 14, 2023 5:25 PM
The future of Zion Williamson with the New Orleans Pelicans is uncertain less than a year after signing a five-year, $193 million extension. Williamson played at an All-Star level until his season abruptly ended in January with a hamstring injury.
"I don't think his value is sky high right now," said Brian Windhorst. "But he has a contract that protects the Pelicans or whatever team from further injury. It's not fully guaranteed. Obviously, his value in January was a lot higher after another injury plagued season."
Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.
That idea would be a swing for the fences, but probably pass. Best ability is availability. Zion hasn’t given people a reason to believe he can stay healthy. I obviously don’t have the details of what Zion spends his money on… he needs to be doing what LeBron does. Spending ~$1.5M on his body every year.
As for the Pistons, a hypothetical Zion trade would involve what… Ivey + 5th overall pick + more? Ehhhh.
It's irrelevant since the Pelicans want to trade up for Scoot, and Scoot is gonna be long gone by the time the Pistons are picking.
F the lottery

Zion blowing up in weight was crazy. He got back into shape quickly but this shit doesn’t get easier. I like the direction
of the team. Draft Cam Whitmore to pair with Cade and Ivey. Let them mature and win championships

Call me old fashioned but I get bad vibes on a guy who has never played a full season and has porn stars telling him he needs.to.get in shape for the NBA.
Anytime you look at trading for one of these high profile players that player should easily pass.the bus driver test. Look at all the NBA Champions of the last 10 years and think of the guys who drove the bus. I'm talking about Jokic, Curry, Giannis, Durant, LeBron and Duncan. All of those guys work their asses off. If you are trading for someone like that with the big contract, you have to be sure that player is going to do the same.
I was wondering that also, but apparently they are in win now mode and are trying to convince Doncic to stay and take the max....It seems like an overpay but if they really think that Bogdanovich is the missing peice who are we to say no?

Agreed. He’s an exceptional talent but theres no way one of the greats would get to the point he did. As he ages stuff like that will start taking its toll
