The rest of the draft are role players IMO.
You don't like Murray? For all I have been hearing (I know, I know it is a terrible way to be informed but I just don't have the time right now to do some film study), he is right there with Ivey. Some even like Murray better.
Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

    • Who could we "package" with Grant to lock in that #7? Or maybe take on a salary? Or trade a future, lottery protected pick?

I don't want Murray at 5. Could be way wrong, but I just don't see the upside of other guys. Don't see a reason to take him over Mathurin who fits like a glove and is the far better athlete

What I have seen says the Pistons take Eric Bledsoe's salary as part of the deal....for what it is worth....

We still owe OKC a first. We’re not allowed to trade a 1st round pick until 2027 or something like that until we repay it
            F#*K OHIO!!!

Murray is a fine player but i just don’t see anything special about him. He’s not an all star caliber player IMO.

              • Murray is a better fit with Cade than Ivey.

I don’t disagree but he’s not going to be a star. I can see the H Barnes or Tobias Harris references. That’s fine as long as he’s not Tobias Funke.

                  • Hey now. Tobias Funke is a legend.

36 hours until the draft and there’s hardly been any NBA news. Outside of the Christian Wood trade, coaching news, and expected player opt ins. Irrelevant stuff. All of the drama has to be coming soon…

I think all these guys are role player dudes
Holmgren - his projection is as a help side defender who is skilled offensively
Banchero - great player but he doesn't look like a primary option
Jabari Smith - guys who don't dribble are role players
If Ivey is a star I think it's on a bad team.

Big switchable wings with length > shooting guards in the NBA.

                      • You must be watching different players than what I saw. Banchero, Smith and Ivey can be stars. Chet depending on how his body holds up.

                        • It’s like last years top 3. You could see Cade, Mobley and Green were all special players. Yes more guys popped up but it’s not as evident. I think that top 4 is pretty clear they’re all special players

The one I am not very sure on is Holmgren....He reminds me of former Piston Austin Daye, but Chet is a much better defender.....7' and 195 pounds has to be a concern even though he most likely will put on weight (hopefully muscle), he seems like a gamble....

                            • I heard NY is trying to trade with Detroit to get Ivey, or trade to 4 to take him before Detroit can. Seems like NY thinks Detroit is taking Ivey. I read that Cam Reddish and 11 were offered.

                              • Kings are doing the right thing from a media perspective. Hyping up interest about #4. Could lead to the Knicks overpaying to move up if they panic on draft night. I still think it’s Indiana that moves up if anyone. Package #6 + Chris Duarte + maybe another future pick for #4.
OR the Kings sit at #4 and take Murray.

EDIT: OKC is another team to pay attention to when it comes to moving up with all of their future 1st RD picks. I think OKC will wait a year and go all in on the top guy from Australia in 2023.
