  • Payton is pushing 30, I’d much rather continue the youth movement and draft Ivey or Sharpe to build with Cade.

That’s not to say that I dislike him as a player because I really appreciate his game. Bouncing around and being undrafted is crazy considering how good he is. He def needs minutes but he’s buried there.

Poole’s offense is definitely his strength by a mile. Curry just makes everyone around him better. They just keep mining talent out of nowhere.
    F#*K OHIO!!!

Are you talking about Grant straight up for the 4th? Sacramento does some stupid shit but I couldn’t see them pulling the trigger on that. Grants value isn’t that high.

Hell might freeze over in Portland if they trade the 7th for him. Their fan base doesn’t seem like they’re extremely happy about those rumors

        • They need at least one veteran dog on defense, maybe two.

I think Ivey or Sharpe is the way to go in the draft. If they end up with a front court player like Murray then Payton would be one of my first choices in the backcourt.

Who would you draft if the top 3 forwards are off the board?

            • I would draft Keegan Murray with the 5th pick.

I would guess tehre is more involved than just the 4th pick and most likely it is just fan heresay....Portland thought may be a possibility because it is rumored that Lillard doesnt want to be in a rebuild....so if they want to keep him then maybe trading that pick for an established vet is not such a bad idea.....Grant averaged 19 points a game last year...The Blazers most likely aren't going to get that out of the 7th pick next season.

May I ask why? I really don't know much about him but for a few opinions and some highlight videos.
Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

                    • If you could blend (smaller) Al Horford into Otto Porter Jr. as a draft comparison, that’s what I see in Keegan Murray. Not sure if there’s superstar potential. I think there’s a safe floor in Murray. Potential to be a star one day if everything goes right.

Wings that can defend multiple positions is valuable. That’s something the NBA playoffs has shown you this year. (and in recent years). Celtics for example. I didn’t realize Murray was good on defense. That comes with the reputation that Iowa basketball has where A LOT of players there are poor on defense. If people are saying Murray is a plus on defense, I think he would be a good pick at #5 overall.

Excellent fit for the current Pistons roster… especially if trading Grant. In the discussion for BPA at #5. There isn’t an obvious pick… unless Ivey falls there IMO!

He's a good 3 and D guy who will not be hunted in the playoffs. He has height and he's a great fit with Cade.

                        • I’ve seen a lot of Tobias Harris comparisons for Murray. I haven’t watched him much but it seems fair. It was a crap year to fall in the draft but here we are.

I wouldn’t be overly excited but I wouldn’t be disappointed either. He seems like a good kid.

                          • Sharpe is such a wildcard. What do you guys think of his situation. It’s really unusual.

I’m sure they’re talking to everyone at Kentucky.

                            • Ryen Rusillo said a few of the front office guys he talks to said Sharpe is definitely part.of the top tier of players. Sharpe was a late bloomer in the high school rankings.

He looks the part in a major way. I’ve heard the same thing about the rumor mill, it’s just hard to imagine without playing in over a year. Passing the top 3 forwards and Ivey who all dominated parts of college ball would be tough.
