Well, ya know, they got a big in his prime who gets triple doubles for him, so there's that, hehe

    • But yeah ... Hayes over Haliburton was a monstrous miss by the Pistons

I still can't believe Troy took Killian over haliburton...When the pick came up, Haliburton was top rated player on the board...There had to be something about haliburton's game that Troy did not like, or he just liked Killian's defense better, but there is no doubt who the better pick has been the first two years.

        • I’m ok with the way shit turned out. I love Cade and think he’s going to crush it. Had we drafted Halliburton we wouldn’t have ended up with Cade.

          F#*K OHIO!!!

Oh man. I don’t know bro. I really like J Smith’s game. I probably would but ending up with Murray and Sharpe would be nice

I truly think the Stones should roll the dice with Sharpe. If he flames out cool but if he’s a hit.. that back court could be 2 super stars

            • I like that mock draft getting Murray.

              • What could possibly go wrong? Last time we drafted a Sharpe he was sleepy
Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

                • It sucks that Haliburton is better than Hayes, but I won’t complain. I was down to draft Hayes, Haliburton, or Okungwu in that draft.

Hayes had more potential as a draft prospect, but it was a risk. The risk has obviously not paid off in comparison to Haliburton. Maybe there’s still time for Hayes considering his age? He needs to significantly develop his offensive game.
I did say the same thing about Sekou and he’s toast.

                    • I’m a Ben Mathurin fan and was glad to hear James Edwards III say that his sources tell him that the Pistons are as well. My daughter is a freshman at U of A, so I watched almost everyone of their games this season (including in person). Love the kids shooting stroke, both off the catch and off the dribble. What I also appreciated was how active he became off the ball this season, constantly running and finding open spots for his shots or cutting towards the basket. There were times when he’d remind me a little of Rip, where he’d run hard into curls of screens, get the ball, and hit a middy.

And the kid’s athleticism is just ridiculous.

                      • I wouldn't be bothered if they took Mathurin, even at 5. If they got Portland's pick, so much the better. High floor, and a pretty good ceiling

                        • I know you can't swear off of players because of the school that they went to but I'm still pissed about Stanley Johnson @ Arizona. All that aside he's got a sweet looking jump shot. I wouldn't take him over Ivey but I wouldn't mind the pick

                          • Keegan Murray turns 22 in August..Is that too old to spend the 5th pick on? Cade, Killian, and Stew are all only 20 to put that in perspective.

                            • I don't think the age is a big issue, he's a late bloomer. But if you think his big jump in his sophomore year was because his age compared to competition that might give you pause. I think when you draft guys that are 18-19, you are spending the first couple years waiting for them to turn 22.
