Smith looks sudden. Probably a strange word, but it's like he's just out there, whatever, and then all of a sudden he makes a wow play. Chet does the same, but Smith seems smoother

I hate Smith's number, tho ... they scream slacker who just loafs. 44% on 2 point FG for an athletic college big is about as big a red flag as you can get. Doesn't rebound much

To be honest, statistically he profiles like a slightly better Jerami Grant

I really enjoyed that game. Hey Bey Bey was hot as a firecracker. With Cade and Jeremy out he needed to pick up the slack and he did just that. Reminded me a lot of Mark Aguirre in his prime.

He's been good the second half of the season, his ceiling is higher than you think. Only Dame has more threes at this age than Bey

So far so good with all the top talents in the tourney. All have had fantastic showings. Chet's stat line from game 1 was crazy. Its weird that he's still not the focal point of that offense but his box score is crazy anyway.

Even in the best part of college basketball, I'm reminded of how bad college basketball is for the viewer. The MSU/Davidson game was pretty good, especially the first 10 minutes of the second half. All kinds of flow with no whistles, of course that means the viewer must be punished with stacked TV timeouts. There were two instances in the last 10 minutes where they went to a TV timeout came back, they had a whistle after thirty seconds and went immediately went to the next TV timeout.

Please go to the quarter system and get rid of some of these timeouts.

Chet hasn't done his draft stock any favors tonight. He has played like SHIT.

EDIT: I should give him credit for showing up on defense and the glass when it was clear his shot wasn't falling, but oof, he did NOT look good on the offensive end at all tonight.

I'm glad they made it to the next round to see if he can rebound from that game. He was in foul trouble and this is what happens when he's not the focal point of that offense. He still had 4 blocks which is ridiculous. As much as I love Smith and his perfect shot, I'd still rather have Ivey with Cade.

Ivey can flat out take over games with his athleticism.

I guess you could argue Holmgren showed something in that rather abysmal job on the offensive end that a lot of his peers haven't; that when the shot isn't falling for him, he can still be a factor on the defensive end. That DOES matter, because everyone is going to have bad shooting nights.

Chet who? Pfffffff. Ivey officially my #1. No more debate for me barring something unexpected. Especially after Smith imploded vs Miami (FL).

That was the 2nd clutch iso 3 late in the game FYI.
