Pistons keeping all options, including trade, open until pick is made
Vincent Goodwill: Sources tell @YahooSports: While Cade Cunningham remains at the top of Detroit’s draft board and is the presumptive pick, the team will keep all options open until the pick is entered. The team would still consider trading the pick, but only for multiple, significant assets.

James Edwards III: Can confirm the @Adrian Wojnarowski report that Detroit is heavily leaning toward Cade Cunningham as the No. 1 pick. However, nothing is official until the pick is turned in. Deals can always materialize. But, certainly, sounds like Cunningham will be coming to Detroit.

Seems to be more big name college prospects than usual, but I’m sure the Pistons will take a guy from Serbia that I’ve never heard of.
Others that have hardly been mentioned:
Aaron Henry (Sparty’s best player last season), Matthew Hurt (Duke’s best player last season), RaiQuan Gray (FSU glue piece guy), Luka Garza (beast at Iowa for last couple of seasons), McKinley Wright (Colorado’s best player/ big time scoring G), Moses Wright (think he was ACC player of the year at G-Tech), Marcus Garrett (incredible defensive G for Kansas), Cameron Krutwig (beast/ guy with mustache at Loyola-Chicago), and Mark Vital (glue piece for champion Baylor).
…
Spoiler alert:

No. 1 pick candidate Jalen Green: I want to live in Detroit
Before long, Jalen Green was the highlight of the G-League—the fastest player on the court, a multi-level scorer and apt defender, all the while delivering the same highlight reel, high-flying displays that made him famous on the internet. He’d write down goals on yellow sticky notes on his door and cross them off when he accomplished them. Before leaving that Walnut Creek apartment and relocating to LA, the only one left read, “Be the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft.” “Number one pick,” he tells me, “that would be a dream come true. I ain’t going to lie. That happens, I’m going to have a breakdown,” he laughs. And, naturally, he has preference in mind. “I want to live in Detroit.”

Jalen Green: “I feel like I’m the best player in my class,” he says. “There’s a lot of talk about [consensus number one pick] Cade Cunningham and other people…but I’m the best player. And I feel like nobody can do what I do. I show up every time the lights come on. Whether it’s some weak players or the top in the country.”

Pistons Decide To Select Cade Cunningham First Overall
The Detroit Pistons have decided to select Cade Cunningham with the first overall pick in Thursday's draft.
The Pistons also considered Jalen Green and Evan Mobley as well as various draft offers.
The Houston Rockets will select second followed by the Cleveland Cavaliers at No. 3.
Cunningham has widely been considered the best prospect in the draft though there isn't a definitive consensus with some believing the draft has three players who would be a No. 1 caliber pick in most years.
The Pistons met with Cunningham a final time on Wednesday to finalize their decision. While trade offers continue to be made, the Pistons intend to select Cunningham if they keep the pick for themselves.
