  • The Spurs have benefitted from extreme luck.

Part of the Process in Philadelphia was tanking for 4-5 years, that was Henke's dream. He would have done it for more years if the NBA hadn't stepped in. It's kind of made them a loser organization, Daryl Morey said the Sixers still have a chance of winning a title in 2025, he's delusional.

    • I'm one of the biggest Shaq fans on the planet, but this fella is mistaken.

      • Bird wasn’t exactly out there running a rigid offseason program either.

        • Same with Jordan, once the season was over he put the shoes away. But Jordan never put the clubs away.

          • I don't like the Lakers but that guy's statement is so offensive I will gladly enjoy when the Lakers and Luka run roughshod over the Mavericks in the future. The dude is a 5 time all NBA at age 25.

Yep, and he didn't do any weight lifting until the Bad Boys beat him up. He was older than Luka is now when he finally got serious about it.

              • I've never been a Doncic' fan so I don't give a shit. Wouldn't want him on the Pistons.

One thing that a ton of athletes really don't get is that it is possible to overdo it on strength training and conditioning. A human body needs some rest and downtime. Hell, a ton of the best performing athletes in most leagues look remarkably "normal," and all those cut and "swole" workout champions wind up being either chronically injured or entirely mediocre.

Yes, you would. And if you truly didn't, you'd be as much of an idiot as Mavs ownership.

                    • He willed that team to the Finals last year, he led the playoffs with points, assists and rebounds. Pretty great!. I would trade for him in a New York minute. I wouldn't give up the whole farm for him especially if Cade was involved, but there just isn't many players in NBA history that have done as much as him by age 25. He is still very young, almost no player is the epitome of what that owner is talking about at age 25. Maybe LeBron was, but what that guy is talking about comes later on. If you were to listen to that owner, you would think they traded Zion.

You won't have to worry about Luka's conditioning when he is in LA. He has motivation to stick it to that clown and he will be with LeBron. LeBron was thought to be one more year, but this will extend it.

                        • If he can ever get a reliable jumper....still love what he does for us right now.

If he and Holland develop their shots... that would be fun to watch

I have more confidence in Holland's jumper than Ausar right now. Both are keepers.

                              • The key is getting to the playoffs and seeing the opponent dealing with both Thompson and Holland and their subpar jumpers. Right now scoring isn't an issue with the Pistons so the lack of a jumper isn't an issue in the regular season. In a 7 game series teams start locking down and focusing on another team's flaws.

Their jumpers should improve over time but they might never need to be a 35 percent three point shooter, especially Thompson. He is so fast and has great playmaking ability you can't just sag on him like other players with the same issue.
