  • Just an FYI, Hubie Brown's last broadcast is Sunday on ABC between the Bucks/Sixers. A true giant of the game.

      • Blaha is a play by play guy - a much different job. And Blaha is already pretty painful to listen to for large chunks of the game, but he still has his moments.

            • The Sixers might need to go through another Process. The Pistons clowned on that team without a point guard.

              • Blaha has earned the right to go out on his shield, but that doesn’t mean I have to enjoy watching the decline.

                • I might be grading him on a curve because he is much better than when Johnny Kane fills in for him. Also he is much better doing the Pistons than he is for MSU football. But that's been a long standing issue

I tend to listen on the radio a lot and Champion still has the heater.

                  • I just watched Locked on Pistons explaining the trades. Sounds like they did a great job to me. Dare I say the Lions, Wings, Tigers, and Pistons. all currently have management in place to take us to the promised land.

Yeah, the idea of Kane being groomed as the replacement is not good. Kane is better than he was, but that’s just because he’s not quite as ears bleedingly awful as he was last year.

                      • Embiid was bitching out a teammate for loafing down the court. It was nice to watch.

                        • My dad and I have spent the last few years making fun of Blaha trying to make the team sound exciting. This year he actually has some reasons to get excited.

I always kind of felt sorry for him and Kelser....I would think it would be hard to call a game for a team that hadnt won a playoff game in 17 years.

I mean... he wasn't wrong. Oubre wasn't exactly hustling, but Embiid of all people trying to call someone out for that is hilarious.

                              • And as far as "The Process" goes; the problem wasn't necessarily tanking. A lot of teams tank to get out of purgatory, and for a lot of smaller market teams, getting that franchise defining superstar is kinda the most reliable way out. You tank for one year, maybe two, then build around that core. The Spurs are a team that has benefited quite a bit from that.

The problem is that "The Process" didn't seem to have any plan to actually build a team. They just tanked... and tanked... and tanked... building up all these pieces that never really fit together and eventually dragged themselves down. Weaver tried doing the same damn thing, even though he got the #1 guy he supposedly wanted right off the bat.
