I'd rather have something better, but if they are throwing a draft pick to take it on, I would take it. But I don't think he fixes the backup point problem we see with Sasser.

When you don't have much to offer you get second round picks. Renting cap space only gets you so far. The Pistons had a GM that was tanking and never understood how to accumulate assets and they never really has any desirable assets to trade for a first round pick. There was one time in the last 6-7 years where they could have parlayed a player for a 1st rounder but Weaver foolishly held out for two 1st rounders for Bogdonavic.
Truthfully the way these trades have happened this deadline period, the big cap space the Pistons had has not materialized to be the last resort team because there are enough teams that can take on little salaries as well.
