  • Ivey is doing OK on the second unit, with Burks and Bagley they have smoked the last two opponents. Their starting unit hasn't had problems scoring and are probably the best defensive 5 they have.

Ivey had some decent stats last year, but it was empty points. Williams is really emphasizing defense. Until his defense improves, he's probably better suited to running the second unit.

Also Monte Morris is injured...im not sure what the plan was with him but that could be part of it.

      • Burks has been fantastic so far.

Harris and Morris were the two notable cap moves last offseason. They’ve had zero impact on the positive start. Rather it’s been quality coaching, effort, and ascension from the high draft pick (/talented) young guys.

Tough test vs OKC that’s stupidly scheduled at the same time as the Lions. Might have the game on my iPad in the background. SGA was terrible yesterday. Therefore, he might score 40 tonight given Zach LaVine logic.

          • Harris has been good off the bench in short spurts. Ultimately, I don't think Hayes is going to be a long term starter at 2. Or his minutes might be small even as a starter. They are going to run into issues with good teams with turnovers. I think some of their turnover problems are spacing related and Cade getting too cute with pocket passes.

            • Can someone please tell my why the fuck is Ausar still
chucking up shots. The Pelicans strategy is to leave him
wide open. He’s 4 for 15 at the half and he’s still playing.

The cherry on top is K Hayes. Someone needs to send him to Kathy Bates house in Misery

                • The Pistons seem to be heading the wrong direction already....Too many fouls and turnovers and still cant shoot....The Pelicans didnt even play their 2 best players and still won.

                    • The Pistons suck but they might have something with this draft class. Ausar needs to figure out his shooting but his D is on point.

Sasser was a damned good find as well.

Can we please f’ing cut Hayes now? He’s so bad

                      • Troy Weaver has used cap space the last two seasons for a washed up Nerlens Noel, a washed up Joe Harris and a a guy who can't stay healthy n Alec Burks. They are still running out the kiddie crew every night.

                        I guess the process continues.

                        • The Pistons are three years away every three years.

Troy is in year 4 how many more does Gores give him? The team has won 20,23, and 17 in his full 3 seasons as GM......We figured the team would improve and maybe win 30 games this year, but if they fall short of that? and its not like 30 wins is some stellar figure...its still well out of the play in game where over half the league makes the tournament.

                            • The problem with doing the process is you end up with a ton of young guys. The average age of the current starting 5 is 21 years. You cannot win in the NBA being that young, especially if you don't have shooters. It will get slightly better when Bogdonavic gets back, but he is old and creaky. They have some good young players but this is truly a man's league. It was imperative that Weaver use that cap space on useful veteran players that aren't hurt. The last two years he used it to help out the Knicks and Nets to get a couple second round picks

Chemiclord is making a joke about the three year thing. But they might be three years away from the play-in game at this rate. They are wasting Cade Cunningham.

                              • It's a joke, but at the same time, it's also noting that the Pistons have been in a perpetual rebuild cycle, and an unnecessary one at that.

If it is taking you five+ years and multiple Top 5 picks, and you still don't have a competitive team, you have a failure of a front office, and they need to be canned. There is no excuse to take that long, in any sport.
