CBS had a fun fact, Stewart is the first Piston since Jason Maxiell to get a rookie extension. That’s 15 years ago and it’s absolutely crazy
F#*K OHIO!!!

That’s crazy about the Pistons recent rookie extension history.
Betting on Beef Stew to get better. If that’s the case, this contract could look like a steal in a few years. No reason he shouldn’t get better given age and experience. Beef Stew has the potential to be a solid rotational big for a playoff team.
Even if he stays as is, that contract is low considering what some of these scrubs are getting. I don’t mind it at all.
Can we let Killian go now. We’re so deep at guard and he sucks
Balls

I think my issue is that Weaver's paid this scratch to someone who, by what we're seeing on the floor, is a guy who isn't someone Weaver sees as one of the Pistons' core players.
It's extremely clear he wants to push Wiseman/Duren as the primary front court pairing. What exactly is Stewart's role supposed to be here?
Basically, what is the fucking plan? What is Weaver even trying to do with this team?
I think Stewart is young and has some potential growth but I'm not sure about this extension. If you were planning on extending him you don't extend Bagley and trade for Wiseman.

LOL, if you do a quick easy search, you'll see Weaver mention Stewart as part of the core many times. He's the starting 4.

Stewart is an undersized 5 and not good enough stretch 4.....He plays hard though and Im sure the team likes that about him....If he continues to improve his outside shot, then it should be fine.
Stewart will be regulated to a reserve 4/5. He’s a really good depth piece and that contract isn’t bad at all. Have you seen some of these contracts?
I do agree more moves are coming.
