KD is the oldest 34 year old ever. He looks and moves like Greg Oden. They’re both 50 something at heart
The Suns won’t even make it to the WCF. That team has no depth and it’s terribly flawed
F#*K OHIO!!!

The rich get richer...That gives the Suns 4 max contracts....So much for the so called salary cap....The NBA cap has always been a joke anyway.
Unless the Suns can deal Ayton to turn it into depth pieces they are screwed. They will have to fill out the rest of the team with players taking the vet minimum. They are at the 162 million with 4 guys. The first apron of the luxury tax is 169 and the second apron is 179.5. and they are locked into these 4 players for 3 years. Once you hit the second apron you can't sign any buyout guys, you can't use the MLE or LLE and you can't trade 1st round picks. The scoring those three provide is great but it's also redundant.
In other words they are locked into a team that has no depth, nothing on defense, no point guard and hardly any avenues to fill out a 15 man roster. If they can convince 4 to 5 veterans to forgo real cash to chase a ring then maybe the gamble pays off. But the odds are not great that Durant and Beal can stay healthy.
These teams usually find ways to add veterans for next to nothing...Players will be waived or bought out and end up in Phoenix....Health is a big concern though...Im guessing there will some major load management in Phoenix next season.
Once you hit the second apron, you cannot use the LLE, MLE or get buyout players. What you are talking about is the old CBA, this new CBA handcuffs teams that do what the Suns just did. The whole new CBA was designed to eliminate what you were talking about. It also is the reason why Beal was a available for pu-pu platter.
Everything is all quiet with the Pistons. Calm before the storm with 2 days until the draft.
I was trying to figure out the Pistons salaries situation. Should we expect all team options to be picked up? If so, that brings the Pistons to around $99M. Add in $9M-10M from the two draft picks… that’s around $110M with 14 players on the roster. (Bojan Bogdanovic, Marvin Bagley, James Wiseman, Cade Cunningham, Alec Burks, Jaden Ivey, Killian Hayes, Isaiah Stewart, Jalen Duren, Eugene Omoruyi, RJ Hampton, Isaiah Livers, #5 pick, and #31 pick). Though it would be surprising if the Pistons aren’t fluid with moving a few pieces around. Ultimately, the main point is the Pistons can afford to add a huge contract to the books next season. NBA salary cap moved to $134M. That’s on the low end for a team to spend.
Another point to add with my Jalen Wilson (wing, Kansas) at #31 draft wish. Wilson committed to John Beilein’s Michigan program. Then decommitted as Juwan Howard was hired. An obvious connection there to the Pistons organization for the Big 12 player of the year.
2012 Detroit Lions Draft: 1) Cordy Glenn G , 2) Brandon Taylor S, 3) Sean Spence olb, 4) Joe Adams WR/KR, 5) Matt McCants OT, 7a) B.J. Coleman QB 7b) Kewshan Martin WR

Ahhh did not realize they made these changes recently...Thank you for that update
Seems like Ausar Thompson picked up momentum for the Pistons at #5. Odds shifting and chatter among Pistons media circles.
Huge gamble if so depending on how he develops a jump shot. Some Stanley Johnson similarities to the idea, but that doesn’t guarantee Thompson won’t develop a shot. It’s just a high ceiling/ low floor risky idea. I heard Windhorst say that Ausar was the twin that would always guard the best opposing player. Thought that was noteworthy. Better shooting stats for Ausar compared to the ball handling/ playmaking of Amen.
Rockets beat writers believe Amen Thompson goes at #4.
I dont see the stanley Johnson comparison other than they are the same height....Stanley could barely touch the rim...You could probably count his dunks on one hand.....Ausur is a great athlete....but his is not a great shooter per se and that is the gamble....he is a much better finisher and open court player than Stanley was.....It looks like most of these guys 4-10 are a gamble... they all seem to have a pretty big weakness that may or may not be fixable at the next level.
This draft sucks for us. Besides Whitmore I don’t really particularly like anyone. Goodness I hope they don’t pick either Thompson. Yes they’re great athletes but they’re more guards than forwards.

Ausar Thompson now -160 on FanDuel. Jarace Walker +340.
It appears that Ausar has an athletic advantage coming into the NBA. “Elite athlete.” But hey, that’s a difference of possibly drafting a prospect at #5 vs #8 overall.
Gores really screwed the pooch trying to rebuild on the fly pushing the GMs to “win now”. Trading for Blake Griffin really stamped it home we’re in for a longer rebuild than it should have been.
At least he’s doing it right now. He ponied up for a good coach and we’re on track to have a decent squad as these kids mature.
