It’s why I’m all in on Jerace Walker. He’s a dog with Pistons DNA. He’s highly skilled on both ends. His ceiling is a Randolph level offensive player with All-NBA defense. Or sort of a Millsap type. He’s a defensive dog and I always always ride with that type. I see a potential offensive hub with elite vision and ability to knock down the 3. He’s just an unselfish dude who played within the scheme on a talented HOU team.

Anytime I watch him, I can’t believe what I’m seeing in terms of skill and tenacity. All in. Pistons DNA.
Walker is an easily projectable guy to Detroit. I also like Hendricks from UCF, another guy who takes pride in playing defense (on and off ball) and who would complement Cade/Ivey/Duren with his ability to catch and shoot with range (particularly from the corners). Anthony Black is another kid who absolutely gets after it on defense and makes plays from there. Shooting is a work in progress (to put it kindly), but man is he a smart player who sees the full floor and consistently makes the right play.

    • I’m thinking double dip at wing with heavy resources and call it an offseason. BPA wing at #5 and Cameron Johnson? Need to count on internal growth with that core for next season and go from there. That idea isn’t sounding too optimistic at this time, but it’s better than going all in on a Julius Randle trade or something similar.

The obvious Kevin Ollie hire at HC seems to be incoming in the near future. Meh…

Its not like they have to worry about someone else swooping in and stealing him.....

        • I'd like for them to make a run at Austin Reaves.

            Or Caleb Martin.

            • They'd have to trade for Martin. Reaves is an RFA.

              • These two teams are gassed. The every other day schedule for these playoff teams is taking a toll.

                • The amount of dribbles Joker gets in the paint is amazing. Most big men get stripped after dribble two.

                      Lucky Colorado fans…
                      - Avalanche won the Stanley Cup last year.
                      - Nuggets probably win the NBA title this year.
                      - Sean Payton hired to save the day after a disastrous start for the Russell Wilson trade. Oh, and the Broncos won the Super Bowl like 8 years ago.
                      - Colorado football is in a golden age of hype and excitement due to the Deion hire. Decades of crap prior to this year.

It’s weird how sports success is contagious for certain fan bases…. Tampa Bay and LA a few years ago. Boston area teams. I guess you could say the early to mid 2000s was generally awesome for Michigan/ Detroit.

                      • Excluding the Lions of course with the Barry retirement and Millen era. But let’s stretch it from the late 90s to mid-2000s
                        - Red Wings awesome. Multiple titles.
                        - Michigan football title and great under Carr.
                        - MSU basketball title.
                        - Pistons title and dominance in the mid-2000s.
                        - Tigers capping it off with the most magical sports season that I’ve witnessed in 2006. Unfortunate dud of a World Series….

Oh it’s been too long since success. Luckily Michigan football is back and the Lions are unexpectedly the greatest hope for Detroit.

Surely the Pistons figure it out…🙄

                          • Pistons Planned To Pursue Monty Williams If They Won Lottery
Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

                            • Indicators seem to be pointing back to the other three guys again...the ones that no one in Detroit particularly wants.

                              • It's dumb logic. If you are.going to pursue him, you pursue him regardless of the lottery. This dude is in over his head and he is arrogant about it.
