LMAO. I don't tote MJ's water. I am not sure he is even the best 2 Guard to ever play in the league. He never pulled the kind of shit Kobe did. When did MJ ever pout for an entire half (in a critical playoff game no less) and barely take a shot (Kobe shot like 3 times in the second half of that game), because of what the media said? When did he ever kick out an all time great big man? Kobe was a pale ghost of MJ,


MJ wanted to win and dominate the opposing team more than anything. I don't like MJ but I respected his game and his will. Kobe always had to be the #1 thing no matter what, it didn't matter if the team was any good as long as he got his.

I don't even know how I got roped into this but:

• Michael never had an "Alltime great big man" so comparing that is silly. The closest was Ho Grant that he did get off the team.
• He (MJ) cried and b!tched that the Pistons were villains, etc... DET was doing the same thing that BOS and LA did to them for years until they decided not to be bullied anymore. And then it was as if BOS and LA never did it. I call bs.
• Jordan quit for a year so that his gambling habit could get under control and so his legacy didn't take the hit.
• He still has a grudge against the Bad Boys, so I'll have one against him until he doesn't. He won't give us our respect and it goes both ways. F him.

Those Bull teams were pretty stacked in a very weak NBA in the 90s. The thing Jordan has going for him is he was 6 for 6 in the finals. Whitley is slandering Kobe because he thinks Jordan is better, that's not right. Kobe was great even if he had some flaws.

Kobe quit on his team during Game 7 against Phoenix (first round) in the 2006 playoffs. Kobe was tearing the Suns a new one in the first half (23 points) but the Lakers were down 60-45. Basically, he was keeping the Lakers from getting blown out just on the edge of maybe making a comeback. in the second half, Kobe decided to get his teammates involved (at least that was his defense). It played right into the Suns hands because Kobe was the only guy that was hurting them and all of a sudden he is not going to shoot the ball.

It was not a good Lakers team but that was because Kobe couldn't stand that Shaq drove the bus with the Lakers. He had to be the top dog. That was what mattered to him above all else. If he didn't HAVE to be the top dog unquestioned then you don't get the break up. Kobe was going to ascend to the top dog role naturally within a couple more years as Shaq started the downside of his career. But Kobe couldn't wait it had to be now.

The fact that Kobe forced Shaq out is not slander. That is a fact. The fact Kobe only took 3 shots in a Game 7 the second half against the Suns is not slander. That is fact.


Saying that Kobe is not a top 10 player all time is not slander. And I never said Kobe wasn't a great player. I have said I would never want him on my team.

Isn't there an age difference, AND an experience issue too. Do you think Jordan, after being coached by Dean Smith in his formative (mentally) years and being able to come into his own for 5-6 years and have the team hand picked to work specifically with him; may turn out better then an 18 yr/old kid being thrown into a team with guys that were way older and established?

A lot of times when a young person is asked to "grow up" prematurely, they get stuck somewhat. When my wife was getting her nursing degree she had a Psychology class that spoke to this phenomenon. I'm not making any excuse for Kobe because after that Colorado fiasco he did mature quite a bit. But I can see why someone would dis-like him. But he was a great player. He dropped 81 pts on someone.

Wiseman looking really good here. The same guy he was when he was drafted. Extremely fluid and gifted. He had a nice drive from halfcourt yesterday that he layed in. Good looking jumper that splashes the net. Dude is really talented. He doesn’t move look like 7’ at all.

I’ll say one thing for the Pistons, their bigs are playing well. Maybe this Wiseman trade motivated him as well because he’s really improving.
