    F#*K OHIO!!!

    • When Weaver came in this was an old capped out team. Wasn't much talent either. Now you have a lot of young talent. This is a very very young team.

Cade going down killed any chance for even thinking about a playin team.

Stewart , Hayes and Livers all look like rotation level players. Ivey and Duran look like at least a level above that. Cade is a building block.

BB and Burks provide desperately needed shooting from the outside.

Wiseman might be a bust but it is hard to say that after only 63 games played dating from his Memphis cameo. He can shoot the ball and has some offensive skills. His biggest problem is defense (especially on the perimeter and PnR). The talent is there. And he will get a chance here to make mistakes.

Maybe he proves he is a bust. But Bey was not in the long term plans apparently so they grabbed a lottery ticket here. No problem with that.

2012 Detroit Lions Draft: 1) Cordy Glenn G , 2) Brandon Taylor S, 3) Sean Spence olb, 4) Joe Adams WR/KR, 5) Matt McCants OT, 7a) B.J. Coleman QB 7b) Kewshan Martin WR

I don't agree with Weaver being a terrible drafter. You take your swing and sometimes they work. Sometimes they don't. None of them didn't look like they didn't belong. He doesn't have Walter Sharpe on his resume. I think he drafts well in that he takes the layup. A guy falls to him, he takes him.

The issues come with everything else, FA, Trades and even his coach.

He was on the morning show and he spoke about how New Orleans got a lot better when Zion came back and they added a good pick to that. O K. Is that a viable strategy? IDK, I still like this group better then the Drummond led children that preceded them.

At least I don't hate the players. Just hate the game

Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

I never said he was a bad drafter, but you do not get much credit from me as a drafter when your whole hope is to tank and hope to win the lottery. That's has nothing to do with skill at all.

            • Mannnn, if they did win the lottery this year. This would be a really difficult team to play. Cade’s size at point, Ivey’s speed and Victor W’s everything.

The team is absolute trash. It iwould be hard to get worse defensively. I get that some of it is by design to tank for the next 2-3 more years but eventually you have to actually compete. This is very similar to the Red Wings and Tigers, nearly everyone in this town is willing to give the GM in charge a decade or two to get a playoff spot.

Maybe it would, but Cade isn't playing now.

                    • Cade still hasn't proved himself and he has nagging shin issues that required surgery. Maybe he is going to be good but this year was a huge step back. Ivey has been OK, but look around the NBA and see how much talent there is.

I don't think Cade is going to be the starting point. If they VW he probably starts at the 5, Cade at the 3, Ivey at 2 and Hayes at the 1. Not sure who the 4 would be. BB gives you efficient offense, Duran very good guy on the glass, Beef Stew a big that can switch and has some range though his 3 ball runs hit and ice cold.

The real wild card is Wiseman.

                        • I don’t think Hayes is a starter on a good team long term. I’ll be surprised if he gets a 2nd contract with the Pistons. If there’s a future backcourt on this roster right now, it’s Ivey and Cade, and both still have a lot to prove, and neither is a real lead guard.

I won't be surprised if he gets a second contract with Detroit. He passes well and defends those are two things you need in every point.

Yeah he can start long term on a good team. I don't think you can count on him scoring a bunch, but he looks to get others involved which increases offensive efficiency. Don't think he is going to break the bank on his second contract. Hayes has his flaws but the parts are there.

                            • Gary Payton II has failed his physical...The Warriors have until Saturday to decide if the trade goes through.

                              • I've been fairly optimistic on Hayes, but so far he has not shown enough to say he would be starter on a good team. You have to really be gulping the Kool aid for that.
