  • I've said many times how Rasheed played in the wrong era, but he wouldn't be better than Giannis. Definitely Rasheed would have the edge in shooting, but the force in which Giannis can take the ball to the hoop can make opponents helpless.

Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

      • Rumor: Pacers could make move on Suns RFA Deandre Ayton
With James Harden returning to the 76ers, Deandre Ayton is the top free agent available.

        • Myles Turner wouldn’t fit as well in Indiana if Ayton is incoming at center. Turner could replace Ayton in Phoenix. In championship contention, the Suns can’t afford just to lose Ayton. Turner’s rim protection would be welcome, and Phoenix especially values outside shooting, which Turner would also provide.

Ayton, 23, would be a fun addition to an up-and-coming team featuring Tyrese Haliburton, Chis Duarte and Bennedict Mathurin. That’d be a nice, quickly assembled young core.

          • I still can’t believe Sac gave up on Halliburton like they did. I know the Lions haven’t done much in 50 years but Sacramento has been a really bad basketball city.

They had that few year run in the early 2000’s but not much else to speak of.

            F#*K OHIO!!!

You're not only an amazingly beautiful man, but you're the greatest football mind to ever exist. <-- Jeffy Shittypants actually posted this. I knew he was in love with me.

            • They didn’t give up on him, they got a stud big in Sabonis for him.

              • Not surprised at all with limited Ayton interest. He does nothing at an elite level. Centers are the RB of the NBA and he’s a floater. Nobody wants him.

                • Nobody wants to pay big $$$$ for him. There's a difference. Most teams would take him for free.

The bigger question is how did the Pistons draft Killian Hayes over Haliburton? It worked out fine as the Pistons got Cade the next year, but that was definitely a blown draft pick.

                      • I was happy with the Hayes pick at the time. Recall there not being much of a gap between Hayes (upside) vs Haliburton (safer prospect) at the time of the draft. Oh well… it worked out for the Pistons regardless. Maybe the Pistons would have won a few more games in 2020/2021 if they drafted Haliburton… losing out on the lottery luck draft position… hypothetically saying.

                        • I'm not surprised there is no talk about last night's game. Awful. Terrible guard play before about 6:00 left in the game. That is where Killian Hayes would have been useful.

I'm not sure you can rationalize the Hayes pick that way. That is like saying it worked out that they picked Luke Kennard over Donivan Mitchell since they wouldn't have had a chance at Seiku Dombuoya. I remember J. Jackson being injured and I believe Mitchell was better than Ish Smith as a backup. Mitchell would have gotten a lot of play, and he'd now be a mainstay.

We, frankly, don't know what Cunningham is going to turn out to be, but, for sure, Haliburton is way better than Hayes. What "might have" happened after a Haliburton pick by the Pistons is unknown. I'm just saying that there are too many variables to just say, about the Hayes pick, "..oh, well, it worked out because we got Cade.."

                            three facts:
                            1. Haliburton is way better than Hayes
                            2. Mitchell is way better than Kennard.
                            3. It is always better to pick the better player.

                            • The SL team is a terrible watch right now. The only reason to watch is Duren and they may shut him down too. The team was an embarrassment in the first half against Indiana last night. I made a business decision and went to bed.

Did anyone watch the whole game? I may watch the second half today after work but I really don't want to be frustrated watching them get housed.

                              • Casually watched the 1st half. Not much to take away from it. Mathurin looks good for the Pacers!

I do like how Livers earned himself the right to sit out the game. Don’t need to see anything else from Livers. Safely on the roster!

Boeheim did put up some points, but his defense could be concerning. Slow footed/ not quick or athletic enough? Syracuse can hide that in college basketball because of their zone defense. Not a big deal because he’s only a two-way player. It’s whatever.
